Electric grass pitch

Liked The pool was good, easy to check in and great that you can stay all day and use the pool!

Disliked We would have liked to order from the kitchen but it didn’t open til 12. Also you can’t view the menu when the kitchen is closed

Electric grass pitch

Liked Very easy pitching, granddaughter really liked the quirky house play park. Food in the pub was good. Good value for money and all amenities were clean.

Disliked Health and safety in the play park was a bit dubious

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Close to friends on a Great sized pitch, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good for all types of visitors. Not sure about the card entry as all users seemed to be campers on site.

Disliked Not really anywhere to get dog to do their business or have a run about if needed. Be nice to have a small section closed off so we weren't disturbing other holiday-makers by picking up poop.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked We loved this site the staff were so friendly. The site is lovely everything you need for the children 2 lovely parks and the pool is wonderful. The carvery was lovely. Hot chocolate is the best I’ve ever had. A little arcade area and pool table where perfect and my hubby could watch footie on the big screens win win.

Disliked Only complaint we have is the noise lte at night from both other campers on site and the pub was playing very loud music at almost midnight.

Electric grass pitch

Liked A nice place for children because there is a swimming pool, playground and a lot of space to play.

Disliked I don't like that for such a large park there are too few showers and you have to pay extra. The camping area is only 6 amps, you can't use an electric kettle and in cold periods it's probably not comfortable

Recommend to friends Visit again

Could have been a better stay if electric was better.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Not too busy, good atmosphere in the pub and the Elton tribute was an added bonus. Mark dressed as the Easter bunny was brilliant and he was a good laugh.

Disliked Electric supply was shocking we ended up boiling water in a pan for drinks as the kettle just tripped out even with everything else turned off. Fuses definitely not big enough for that amount of tourers and campers so this spoilt things. Could do with better signage on arrival but it was manic with people not knowing where they need to be. It is mentioned at the bottom on the booking details, maybe put it at the top.

Route directions

If you are following a satnav, it may well take you down Low Road; ignore this and carry on along Marsh Road, where you will see the Rose and Crown pub (bright yellow) on your right. Check in here, then drive for another 30 yards to reach the site entrance, again on the right. Please don't drive down Low Road as this is only a small lane which tourers and motorhomes find it hard to come down.

Local attractions

You'll find a fair bit to do within a reasonable drive of the Rose and Crown, like Wisbech and its Elgoods Brewery, gardens and maze 20 minutes away, and royal days out at Sandringham within 35. Both Hunstanton and Skegness are within about 45 minutes' drive. Closer to home are two golf courses and Spalding's Springfields Outlet Shopping & Festival Gardens, which also has a tourist point detailing local attractions. Spend a day around the Wash too for birdwatching at Frieston, Gibraltar Point and RSPB Snettingsham and a look at the RAF bombing range where visitors are welcome to watch the aircraft. Historians have the National Trust's Peckover House or the Octavia Hill Birth Place Museum, both in Wisbech, to wander around, and if you have kids along on your hol, they'll probably fancy wanders around Fun Farm, Alley Katz Bowling or the Butterfly Wildlife Park.
