General
- Peaceful and friendly park in the Lincolnshire Fens
- Dog-friendly with a huge dog walking field
- Play area and kids' bar area with games
You might like to ponder on arrival who Orchard View Caravan & Camping Park would be most perfect for, but you might be pondering for some time.
For those who like the sound of silence: this is a serene and peaceful park away from noisy A-roads. Scenic sorts: the park is in the handsome Lincolnshire Fens, with waterways to explore nearby. Foodie types: the Fenland villages have all sorts of tasty treats to try – fresh farm produce, rated restaurants, tearooms, fresh fruit from roadside stalls and Lincolnshire sausages made in the market town Spalding.
And Fido: Orchard View is dog-friendly and has a huge (and safe) dog walking field with lots to sniff at. And finally, the little saplings: there's plenty of technology-free space for younger guests, including a wooden play area with a sandpit, swings and a slide. Kids are also welcome in the children's area of the bar where there are board games, puzzles and supervised use of the pool table.
This is also a spot for those who like space and convenience as it’s on a six-acre level site, and for folk who like a bit of a personal touch: owners Ray and Maria are lauded for being two of the friendliest and most helpful site people around, as anyone who’s ever had trouble putting up their awning can testify. Maria is even known to sing a little during the free of charge (for residents) evening entertainment if you ask nicely...
Amenities here are bang up to date, such as the recently built shower block with free hot showers. There’s a shop three miles away at Gedney Hill and you’ll find info galore on what to do in the local area in the tourist information cabin and in the bar – or you could just ask Ray and Maria what they recommend - they’ll be happy to help.

To P&S, WE did feel sorry for you that the weather was appalling with rain most of the weekend at the end of October, the drains were compromised and we had to have them emptied(With the resulting bad odour).By having our FREE end of season party with disco and buffet which you all attended and seemed to enjoy we hoped that this made up for the disturbance somehow, also the rebate given. So we were very disappointed to see the state the caravan was left in on your departure, but once your review came through we were very perplexed at the lack of VERITAS and the conflict of saying we were honest and genuine owners yet your review scores are a mystery to us in relation to others.! |

Local attractions
You’ll need to be active to work off all those Lincolnshire sausages, so take to the unexplored fens on Orchard View’s doorstep for cycling, riverside rambling and horse riding. Strolling around the shops is also a less strenuous way to work off the calories: Spalding has bargains galore in the Springfield Shopping Outlet.
A scenic drive will take you to the towns of Hunstanton and Sandringham, but you can’t come to this part of Lincolnshire without also seeing seaside town Skeggy. It’s not just the seaside, the donkey rides and the funfair: the Natureland Seal Sanctuary is at Skegness too – and has tarantulas.
Once the kids have recovered from their hair-raising tarantula experience, soothe them with a trip to Fantasy Island up the coast at Ingoldmells. Where, coincidentally enough, there’ll be a chance to go shopping again: with hundreds of stalls, the Eastgate Market is the biggest indoor seven-day market in Europe...
