  • Simple riverside touring pitches by a mill in Wainfleet All Saints
  • A 10-minute drive from Skegness; 20 minutes from Lincolnshire Wolds
  • Pre-booked discounted brewery tours available
Pitching up where your pints are brewed – with pubs and brewery tours on hand too? If you’ve raised a glass to that fine idea, make tracks to Batemans Brewery Caravan Site, in the village of Wainfleet All Saints. There’s much here to appeal to beer fans, of course – you can see how the ales are created in the brewery, then take a five-minute stroll to sample the results in the local pub alongside your dinner. There’s another fine pub five minutes’ drive away in the village of Croft too if you fancy mixing things up a bit, and a small supermarket a few minutes' walk away for picking up any supplies you may need. It’s not all about beer around here though – this is a super spot in a lovely Lincolnshire location, with a river running alongside and an old windmill giving the place a sense of heritage. Days out visiting the likes of Skegness, Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, Gunby Hall and the Lincolnshire Wolds are all easy to get to as well (all of the aforementioned are within a 20-minute drive). A toilet and shower block is available next to the site in the parking area. It is locked and only to be used by guests on site; you'll be given a code by the site. Please note that the camping area is car-free; a separate parking area is available a short distance from the pitches. As this is a working brewery, early starts are possible. This site is not staffed.

What customers say

This is a well-located, peaceful site with clean, modern facilities, often praised for its value. Guests enjoy the proximity to Wainfleet's amenities and public transport for exploring the coast. The brewery tours are a highlight, though some guests noted early morning noise from the working brewery and occasional issues with site management, cleanliness, or pitch allocation due to it being unmanned.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked It a lovely place to stay, the caravan next to us was very helpful and cheerful. Very quite and peaceful night sleep. I will book this again. The shower and toilets were together and they were spotless, the best I seen jet. We booked a tour of the brewery the tour guard was great, he was chatty, funny and very knowledgeable about the brewery history . Well worth going.

Disliked Thier was a welcome pack with the information we need, in a box . We wasn't informed it was only our caravan neighbour who told us were it was. A quick email from the camp site letting us know would have been nice. Otherwise a lovely place to stop.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Nice and quiet.

Cheap

Handy for railway station for trains to Skegness.

Disliked Couldn’t get a pint in the brewery.

Cars are supposed to be kept on the car park but some selfish camper parked their car on my pitch in between my Motorhome and electric hook up point.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked We likes the area, level ground and close to the pub.

Disliked Firstly a really bad smell around the brewery, which could have been the drains so unavoidable. No one there on arrival to tell us where our pitch was - eventually a member of the brewery helped us to a little box at the side of the toilets. Our pitch was just behind the bins and under a really bright light that illuminated the brewery work area and was on all night. There was a constant hum from something on the brewery all night. We were awakened by a lorry being loaded up from 6.30am - lots of shouting and noise. Two of the toilets had broken locks.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Nice location, rear of a brewery (excellent beer). Close to both railway station and bus stop for either Skegness or Boston. EHU and water, waste water and elsan point. Quite reasonably priced.

Disliked Slight noise from brewery, all grass pitches that may be a problem in wet months.
Toilets/showers ok.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Nice location for getting out and about locally. Enjoyed a couple of visits to the Woolpack in the village. Husband sampled all of the ales, gold could have been clearer but tasted OK. Very informal, friendly service which we liked. Sunday lunch plentiful and kept us full up for our journey home. Would visit again, would also book brewery tour next time.

Local attractions

While enjoying the present moment is lovely, a little bit of the past can liven up your holiday even more. That certainly rings true at the National Trust’s Gunby Hall and Gardens (15 minutes), where there's a country house of old, or the Bubblecar Museum (35 minutes), where it's possible to join in on ride days in historic microcars. Another way to get around, there’s a horse riding centre (25 minutes) within driving distance of the site too. There are rare-breed horses at the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre (15 minutes) - just call in to meet all the residents. And for more animals, Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (10 minutes) or Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (15 minutes) could be another port of call (binoculars are a handy accomplice for this second one). While the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes) delivers when it comes to natural beauty and walks galore, it’s in Skegness (10 minutes) that the beach, aquarium and seal sanctuary take the spotlight. There’s all the activity of the rides at the Fantasy Island theme park (20 minutes) too, a good one for the kids in your group.
