  • Simple riverside touring pitches by a mill in Wainfleet All Saints
  • A 10-minute drive from Skegness; 20 minutes from Lincolnshire Wolds
  • Pre-booked discounted brewery tours available
Pitching up where your pints are made – with pubs and brewery tours on hand too? If you’ve raised a glass to that fine idea, make tracks to Batemans Brewery Campsite, in the village of Wainfleet All Saints. There’s much here to appeal to beer fans, of course – you can see how the ales are created in the brewery, then take a five-minute stroll to sample the results in the local pub alongside your dinner. There’s another fine pub five minutes’ drive away in the village of Croft too if you fancy mixing things up a bit, and a small supermarket a few minutes' walk away for picking up any supplies you may need. It’s not all about beer around here though – this is a super spot in a lovely Lincolnshire location, with a river running alongside and an old windmill giving the place a sense of heritage. Days out visiting the likes of Skegness, Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, Gunby Hall and the Lincolnshire Wolds are all easy to get to as well (all of the aforementioned are within a 20-minute drive). A toilet and shower block is available next to the site in the parking area. It is locked and only to be used by guests on site; you'll be given a code by the site. Please note that the camping area is car-free; a separate parking area is available a short distance from the pitches. As this is a working brewery, early starts are possible. This site is not staffed.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Easy booking, all arrival details sent a few days before. Drive in & straight onto your pitch. Nice size pitches that are level. Easy access to ehu point water & waste. Totally un manned site didn't see a soul. Porta cabin facilities Easy access just feels a bit odd walking into a car park to shower. Short walk to train station, co-op, 2 pubs , 2 take aways. Very clean pretty site great price would recommend. Brewery noise was small hardly noticed the cows where louder. Big carboot 15 mins drive away. Retail park 10 mins. Morrisons Aldi & Tesco in Skegness. Various pubs some serve food only a few days. Joined skegness Bingo for a night out too. Great easy access wi-fi.

Disliked: Toilets are clean but need some tlc. Mould & cobwebs fan full of dust. Shower trays not tall enough floor flooded every time. Thought it was an adult only site our mistake but had children all weekend very loud until late. Tried to email to change a relatives pitch but no response. Did get a reply when I called and lady was lovely & helpful so call if you have a question.

Liked: Well priced with electric.

Disliked: Disorganised and you are allocated pitch via email but no one is in correct pitch. Not enough space between pitches so a fire hazard.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: What we liked about batemans Brewary campsite, well its a working brewary with tours twice weekly £ 5.00 discount if staying on campsite brilliant tour and at the end of tour approx 30mins to try 5 traditional cask beers free of charge . obviously the price .at £ 14.95 per night is a great price including electricity. £5.00 more for bank holidays. ( it's a Billy bargain ) Nice clean shower and toilet block . The area is brilliant ,Wainfleet village is approx 5 mins walk away on a flat path , to 2 nice pubs .Very friendly village, numerous take aways pizza ,kebab, fish and chips and a chinese shops very close by ,a bus stop and a train stop 3 mins away ,also a co op Lots of walking trails . From my point of view all information needed for the site is sent to you via email normally a few days before or at the very latest on the day . Personally we cannot fault batemans campsite ,there is everything you need very close by .That is why we keep coming back.

Disliked: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: We really like the laid back atmosphere at this site.It can be a little noisy with beer barrels being moved about from 6am monday to friday but after all it is a working brewery. Showers and toilets are good. The cost per night even in high season is very reasonable.

Disliked: All the pitches are grass which is not so good when raining.

Local attractions

While enjoying the present moment is lovely, a little bit of the past can liven up your holiday even more. That certainly rings true at the National Trust’s Gunby Hall and Gardens (15 minutes), where there's a country house of old, or the Bubblecar Museum (35 minutes), where it's possible to join in on ride days in historic microcars. Another way to get around, there’s a horse riding centre (25 minutes) within driving distance of the site too. There are rare-breed horses at the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre (15 minutes) - just call in to meet all the residents. And for more animals, Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (10 minutes) or Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (15 minutes) could be another port of call (binoculars are a handy accomplice for this second one). While the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes) delivers when it comes to natural beauty and walks galore, it’s in Skegness (10 minutes) that the beach, aquarium and seal sanctuary take the spotlight. There’s all the activity of the rides at the Fantasy Island theme park (20 minutes) too, a good one for the kids in your group.
