  • Luxurious countryside glamping retreat in the garden of a stately home
  • A 20-minute drive from Barton-upon-Humber; Cleethorpes 45 minutes
  • Suited to romantic breaks with a hot tub at each unit and scenic views
How do you like the sound of staying in the gardens of a stately home, with views of green fields grazed by horses and sheep? As the folks at Walcot Hall Estate in north Lincolnshire have realised, something quite special happens when you combine glamping with the grand surrounds of a handsome Georgian house. This peaceful luxury retreat is located in North Lincolnshire, surrounded by private parkland and open countryside. Each unit is dog-friendly and has its own private hot tub, making it well-suited to couples looking for a romantic break (with your beloved dog) with plenty of nature around. Guests are also welcome to explore the estate grounds in their spare time. Walcot Hall Estate is located on the edge of the small village of Alkborough; a short walk from the estate will get you to its traditional pub and tea room. More pretty villages, plus a popular restaurant, are a short drive away. Nearby (and within walking distance of the estate) is the Alkborough Flats nature reserve for walking routes and stunning birdwatching. The M18 and M62 are not too far away, so it's easy to reach cities like Hull (40 minutes' drive away), Doncaster (55 minutes) and Lincoln (an hour) for shopping, dining and other attractions.
