  • Well-maintained and family-run site five minutes' drive from Caistor
  • A 10-minute drive to Market Rasen; half an hour to Cleethorpes
  • Hikers' haven: plenty of local walks, plus the Viking Way close by
Chug on over to Station Farm Caravan and Camping for a well-placed break with loads to do all around… this well-maintained and family-run site is on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, and a five-minute drive from Caistor and its leafy green surrounds. This is top territory for outdoor adventures, with easy access to trails including the 147-mile-long Viking Way running between Humber Bridge in north Lincolnshire and Oakham in Rutland; detour uphill to All Saints Church, a 15-minute drive from the site and overlooking the route, which pays homage to hikers with stained glass windows depicting walkers. Longer treks are all around too, including coastal ambles – best topped off with beach swims, of course – within half an hour’s drive. Meanwhile, landlubbers can roam round Hall Farm Park with a drive of less than five minutes. Return to the site to spread out on a roomy pitching field with access to cold water standpipes, chemical disposal, and a toilet and shower block. For food and supplies, the nearest shops are in Caistor three miles away, where there’s a supermarket, takeaways and pizza along with several pubs. More options for food can be had over at one of the more than 50 independent shops in Market Rasen, 10 minutes from the site. The only racecourse in Lincolnshire is based here as well if you fancy a flutter on the horses… Don’t mind driving for 20 minutes? You can also pay a visit to Lincolnshire’s oldest thatched-roof pub.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Absolutely love staying at station rd camp site. Have used this campsite before, Its out of the way, normally lovely and quiet, this weekend was different cos there was a bike rally at the pub next door. It wasn't a problem to me. Jo who owes station rd has always been very helpful, very approachable with any concern you may have.
Will definitely stay there again.

Liked Amazing campsite, well maintained, good sized pitch and lots of room for the kids to play. Clean toilets and showers. The couple who ran the site were lovely and made us feel really welcome. We will definitely be back!

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Absolutely loved staying here. Small family run site was made to feel very welcome by the hosts, always had the time of day for us to have a chat give ideas on things to do in the local area.

The ground itself was excellent for pitching despite the dry hot weather we’ve been having the tent pegs went in like a breeze. The electric hookup being on a top-up card is an amazing idea, it shows you what you use during your stay. They also provided an electric cool box for us due to the weather which was gratefully appreciated.

The site is also in a good location with most places being a half hour drive approximately to nearest big towns and beaches. The pub next door has an event on for one of the days during the stay. The hosts pre-warned us about this, the music was decent music so went over to enjoy, which handy as it’s just a minute walk.

The facilities on site are very clean and other users on site have keep it clean after each other. Water is a good temperature for the showers and although is a push button shower it stays on for a decent amount of time. The toilet/shower block is kept clean and tidy with a washing machine and dryer also inside.

All in all 10/10 will be back again. Thank you for a welcoming visit.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Shower and toilets clean
Given a pitch near toilets as requested.
Electric paid by usage rather than by night.
Decent WiFi area (not site)

Disliked Ant infestation.

Made to feel awkward and uncomfortable about having a BBQ when BBQs are allowed on site. Spoilt our enjoyment. Could have been handled better by owner. Was going to pack up early but stuck it out.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Well run and managed by a lovely lady who really cares that the site is pleasant and family friendly.
Pub next door that was welcoming.
On a quiet road but not too far from amenities if needed.
Showers worked, toilet block kept clean and tidy. Separate sink for washing up.
Even during a long heatwave they were maintaining planters and keeping the site looking appealing. Ground was sandy so not hard even when very dry. Some shaded pitches available too.

Disliked Nothing.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked The quietest campsite we've ever stayed at! So peaceful and relaxed... although there was a bit of noise from the pub next door. To be fair, thinking about it, it was probably us. 😂

Exceptional value for money. The whole site is spotless. You constantly see the lady out cleaning and keeping everything to such a high standard, which really shows.

We ended up booking an extra night! We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you want a clean, friendly, relaxing campsite (just don't pitch next to us if we've been to the pub! 😂)

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked A nice site with lovely helpful owner, we were given the option of approx 5 pitches to choose from, and we took a corner one. We just gave the owner £5 for the electric when we paid rather than waiting to pay for what we used. The facilities were clean and adequate for a 1 night stay. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Disliked The owner let us know that there was going to be a live band on at the pub next door but unfortunately it wasn’t our choice of music that they played. But we didn’t let it spoil our stay.

Local attractions

Make tracks from Station Farm Caravan and Camping to Brigg Garden Centre and you can be fawning over the flowers within 15 minutes’ drive. Families can journey a further five minutes to FunForest Brigg for an indoor playground aimed at ages five to 11, and under-10s might also want to settle in at the soft play and Angry Birds areas at Sundown Adventureland (50 minutes' drive). Young adventurers are also the focus at Rand Farm Park (25 minutes), where kids can ride trailers and tractors, run rampage at the indoor and outdoor play areas, and feed the animals. More animals are at the Jungle Zoo in Cleethorpes (30 minutes), home to critters ranging from African bullfrogs to white-throated capuchins. Elsewhere in Cleethorpes, there’s a coastal light railway to zoom around on as well as beaches and boating lakes for aquatic days out.
