What customers say
This is a very quiet, adult-only campsite with exceptionally clean and modern facilities, particularly praised for its shower and toilet block. Guests highlight friendly and helpful owners, peaceful surroundings, and ample space. Some minor issues noted include poor Wi-Fi in the area and occasionally uneven pitches. A few guests mentioned hearing distant dog barking at night. Managers have acknowledged the Wi-Fi issue and are considering improvements.

We're so glad you had a great experience with us and had a peaceful Easter break. We look forward to welcoming you both back in the near future.
Excellent site with clean facilities and lovely pitches.
Fully-serviced grass pitch
Liked Lovely level big pitches in the field where we were. Probably the cleanest toilet/shower block I’ve come across. The pot washing area also had a washer and drier with lots of information about the local area etc. The owners were lovely and friendly and accessible. I like the fact that you only paid for the electricity you used too and kept the cost low compared to other sites. Beautiful location with lots of nice walks nearby. Nice dark skies too for star gazing!
Disliked Imagine that during busier times only having 2 showers might be an issue but other than that I can’t think of anything negative. Lovely site.
Phone service was limited so WiFi perhaps the owners could consider installing that at some point. Even us oldies like our internet access!

From the manager: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're so glad you appreciated our new amenity block and thrilled you enjoyed the lovely local walks.
The internet is particularly poor in the area but we are aiming to provide wifi to the whole campsite very soon for the convenience of all our guests.
We hope to see you both back at Little Owls for another relaxing getaway soon.

Amazing shower block! As I camp,…
Non-electric grass tent pitch (backpacker, no cars, no pets)
Liked Amazing shower block! As I camp, all I need is a flat bit of grass and a nice view is a bonus. The variable for me is the quality of the toilet and shower facilities. This site ticks all the boxes.

From the manager: Thank you Tracey for taking the time to leave a great review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope you will visit again.
As you pointed out the Wifi in this area is terrible, we all struggle at the best of times, we are hoping that improvements will be made to the general area next year.
Brilliant 3 night camping experience.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Enjoyed a adult only 3 night camping trip with no EHU.
The campsite is extremely quiet and relaxing, the shower and toilet facilities were the best we have experienced. Brand new shower and toilet block that was spotless with copious amounts of hot water. We stayed in the Top field , lots of space in between campers as you can pitch up where you like as no EHU restrictions.
Hosts extremely welcoming when we arrived and gave us all the info we needed. Be aware the campsite is very rural and not a lot around within walking distance, Tesco express 15 mins drive, but that's what makes it so quiet and relaxing. We did walk to the nearest pub (Skipworth Arms ) about 3 miles and took just over an hour but it was nice walk with a couple of pints at the end, we ended up getting a local taxi back.
I would like to say all the campers on site respected the rules and there was no issues with noise etc that so many people seem to report now when writing reviews at different campsites.
Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely return .

From the manager: Thank you Gary for your great review, we are pleased you had a relaxing weekend camping in the Top Field.
As you pointed out we are in a rural location but I'm glad you managed to walk to a local pub, if the weather is good then walking is great!
We look forward to you visiting us again in the near future.
