  • Well-maintained peaceful park on the coast: direct access to the beach
  • Between Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea, within walking distance of both
  • Fishing lake, wildlife haven and award-winning pub with food menu
A seaside site with direct access to a sandy beach… can you see yourself at Seacroft? But of course you can: this smart Lincolnshire park is right on the coast, between Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea and a 25-minute drive from the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ditch the car when here should you so desire: a bus stop is right outside the park for services to Mablethorpe, Skegness and Louth. Seacroft Holiday Estate has a private fishing lake for landing carp, tench, roach, bream and perch, available via a daily or weekly angling pass. If that doesn’t catch your attention, the park’s also firmly wildlife friendly and has won awards for its commitment to nature and conservation. Take a stroll around the grounds to see what you can spy, particularly the bees and butterflies in the wildflower meadows next to the lake. Other facilities include an award-winning pub, serving meals from an extensive menu and daily specials board, with a games room including a full-size snooker table, pool table, kids’ games and a large screen TV showing major sporting events. Free wifi is available throughout the site, so you can easily have a browse or plan the itinerary during your downtime. Modern toilets, showers and disabled facilities are all available to guests, as well as a laundry and shop close by.

Local attractions

Seacroft has private access to the beach via 23 steps, while the long sandy shores of Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea are each a mile and a half away. For extra coastline explores, Donna Nook National Nature Reserve is 25 minutes from the site covering six or so miles between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet. This famed spot backed by sand dunes is home to grey seals birthing in the late autumn and early winter months; if you’re here in the summer season you can birdwatch instead – rarer birds like snow bunting, redshanks and lapwings have all been spied here in warmer weather. If you’re sorry to miss the seals, a sanctuary over in Skegness (a further 10-minute drive from the park) means you can visit them all year around. More up for shopping than seals? Around the same distance away at a 25-minute drive, the seaside town of Ingoldmells has Europe’s biggest indoor market... and amusement rides at Fantasy Island for afterwards. Louth (30 minutes) is also grand for browsing the racks, while Horncastle (35 minutes) in the stunning surrounds of the Lincolnshire Wolds is famed for its antiques.
