Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: The park had everything we needed. Play area, well stocked fishing lake, cafe, pub, amusements and many clean toilet blocks with showers!

Disliked: The wet floors in the bathrooms were slippy, but it was really raining and that couldn't be helped.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked: nice to look over the fishing lake.

Disliked: Toilet and shower facilities were very dirty, rubbish bins overflowing. Could put owt down without it getting nicked but that’s not the site it’s the people who visit. Terrible food in restaurant. Send 2 meals back 3 times and eventually asked for refund. Would have been better if the facilities were better maintained. The local Chinese they rave about (chine rose) and chip shop (Robin Hood) were terrible, don’t waste your money.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Nice clean site with plenty to do.

Disliked: Was rung a week before we were due to arrive asking our time of arrival, I confirmed 12pm and was told that was ok. Left early at 9am on the morning of check in date only to be rung an hour and half into the journey that we can't check in till 3pm, we then had three hours to waste before being able to check in. Not the end of the world but bad organization and offered no explanation why the change of time when id already confirmed 12pm.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: The site as a whole

Disliked: Disrespectful people letting the kids shout and shine torches into tents and adults playing music and arguing till gone midnight plus having dogs off leads wondering round the site when we kept our dog on a lead and people also in the touring caravan part with loose dogs pooing and leaving it there disgusting oh and not to mention the toilet block where the younger groups made and left them in a terrible state wanted a peaceful break and got noisy polish family with no respect for other campers

Liked: The site is spacious and well kept! Shop is easy access and well stocked. Pub has a good atmosphere.

Disliked: The drink prices in the pub have increased alot since last year. £5 for a pint of carling is a bit steep!

Local attractions

Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Ingoldmells, Skegness and other Lincolnshire lovelies are all close by for the coastal connoisseurs; and market towns, villages and the Lincolnshire Wolds easy to get to inland. At Mablethorpe, many visitors wander through the dunes to Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary, home of many a brightly-coloured bird, birds of prey, primates, reptiles and roguish-looking meerkats as well as the seals. Kids and big kids will probably also like Mablethorpe's miniature railway, boating lake and funfair; fans of the latter should add in Ingoldmells, home of Fantasy Island theme park. This is also a cracking area for nature: more seals can be seen at the popular Donna Nook National Nature Reserve down the coast between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet, and a huge nature reserve teeming with squawking seabirds is at Gibraltar Point near Skegness. Also nearby, bob about in boats or cast off again at the waters of the Lincolnshire Wolds, alongside many miles of trails and bridleways to walk, cycle or horse ride, or bob around Lincolnshire's market towns: recommended options include Alford, Louth and Lincoln.
