What customers say
This campsite offers a tranquil, back-to-basics camping experience in a peaceful orchard or field setting. Campfires are permitted, and pitches are spacious. Facilities are described as basic but clean, featuring a proper toilet. Guests appreciate the friendly owners and the relaxed atmosphere. Some note road noise from the nearby A17, and the site's large dogs can be intimidating for some visitors, though generally well-contained and friendly once familiar. The lack of showers is noted, but many find it suits the site's ethos. The site is considered good value.

Nice for one or two nights
Field non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Motorcycle allowed.
The quietness and basic camping.
Clean site.
Walkable 30mins, to main town with pubs and shops.
Disliked The dogs were great security but to good, felt guilty walking past as would set them off barking.
Only went for one night, don't think I would stay longer due to no shower facilities.

Field non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Secluded small orchard behind an old farmhouse, this little site was a gem of a find.
Situated just out of Holbeach its a very basic and informal site with just 1 toilet (proper one) and a washbasin kept clean during my stay. On arrival pick your spot, no need to check in.
I was a lone motorcycle camper and stayed 3 nights while touring the North Norfolk coast and South Lincolnshire.
It was absolutly ideal as a base sourcing food to cook and a few beers from Holbeach Aldi at the end of a days riding to chill, read a book and wind down for the next days journey.
I missed not having a shower but body wipes and a wash at the sink is good enough for 3 nights...(I am a northerner)!
I stayed up well after dark as there is no light pollution, a clear sky with a full moon was not to be missed. Midges were present but armed with skin wipes and spray they kept well off (or they just didnt like unshowered Northerners)?
The owners are very friendly as are the two huge Akita type dogs that will bark 1st time they see you but once they get to know you they ignore you (although "Grey" the biggest of the two didnt want to let me off the hook) He barked at me right up to the 3rd night. I finally got to meet him that evening with his owner and he was well up for a petting (the dog that is) then just laid quiet as I chatted to the site owners.
Thought I had cracked it when I walked to the toilet next morning and Grey completely ignored me, only to have a go at me again on my way back 🤦😂
Disliked If the wind is coming from the south/east you can hear the traffic on the A17.
Grey does not like unwashed Northerners!.....other than that would have given a 10.

Liked Spacious and peaceful on the site.
Friendly welcome on arrival …. We simply loved it.
Disliked A little close to the A17 though that did not deter from our enjoyment of this lovely little site.

Field non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely little site with a bit of a magical feel as you approach through narrow trees. Stayed here for one night over the bank holiday weekend with our roof tent. Booked very last minute arriving within a few hours of booking, no issues. Back to basics, turn up, choose somewhere to pitch and enjoy.
Facilities consist of one single toilet (proper bog, not a portaloo) which was kept clean but I imagine it could be busy when there are more people on the site.
Disliked Two big dogs in a pen between the site and the toilet block, quite intimidating for little children.

Will be going back.

Liked Great layout, firepits allowed, clean toilet.
Disliked Only drawback is the road noise, the A17 is across the fields and was noticeable in the evening.

Great little campsite and a friendly owner.
Field non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked A nice and peaceful site with a selection of places to camp up and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The toilet was a proper toilet that was clean and well stocked too - not a cramped wobbly portaloo.
Disliked I can imagine it could get noisy if lots of people use the toilet at night because you have to walk past the dogs that are sleeping
