What customers say

A very well-maintained, peaceful and quiet campsite with exceptionally clean toilet and shower facilities. Pitches are generally spacious, offering privacy and lovely views, particularly of sunsets. The owner is frequently praised for being friendly, welcoming, and helpful. While ideal for relaxation and a quiet escape, some guests noted limited activities for children. Access can be tricky in wet weather. Overall, a highly recommended, "gem" of a site.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Cleanliness of toilets and shower room!
Had a lovely chat to the owner.
Quiet and calm- no overcrowding.
Super close to town and easy to find.

Disliked Toilet and (single) shower are in sheds, with a smattering of spiders etc. Nothing too hard to ignore. But worth mentioning for some.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked A quiet site, well situated for visiting Grantham

Disliked Not the cheapest, £27 for one person tent on a non electric pitch is the most I have paid this year. One shower cubicle needs more hooks or something, cluttered with left over bottles of shampoo etc leaving little room for personal items.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked We’ve been on a 10 day tour , and this has to be joint 1st of all the sites we’ve been to , the site was so quiet and beautiful surrounded by trees , we saw a beautiful sunset , I just felt so at peace here ! The loos and shower were only in sheds but had been constructed to such a high standard and were squeaky clean
Thank you for a lovely stay

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Beautiful setting, calm, peaceful. Lovely walk from the campsite. Well looked after and clean. Lovely personal welcome.

Disliked Not a dislike but a tip - sloping site so you will need a ramp for one set of wheels in a caravan or motorhome.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked A very good campsite. Facilities were clean and well maintained.

Disliked There is a lock on the outside of the bathroom and showers, so it’s possible for someone to lock you in (although you break out easily enough!). This could be better designed.

Local attractions

Folks with a penchant for fine buildings will no doubt want to nab a couple of trips to nearby National Trust properties: the gorgeous town house and walled gardens of Grantham House are five minutes’ drive away, and there are often family-friendly events at Belton House (10 minutes) as well as a splendid porcelain collection, fab formal gardens and a huge adventure playground. Also worth a visit is Woolsthorpe Manor, 15 minutes away; at the former home of local clever clogs Isaac Newton you can even see the famed tree from which fell the apple that started giving him ideas. There are no world-changing trees at Easton Walled Gardens, 10 minutes away, but it’s a lovely visit to these restored 400-year-old gardens nonetheless (and there’s an excellent tearoom too). Scoot over to Sleaford in 20 minutes or so to visit the National Centre for Craft & Design or get up close to the planes at the friendly (and free) Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum. Big-city attractions are 45 minutes away in Nottingham.
