  • Landscaped adults-only site with 10 acres and two carp fishing lakes
  • A 15-minute drive to Boston or RSPB Frampton Marsh
  • Dog-friendly; easy access from A16 or A17
Ten acres of space, two fishing lakes, two main roads close by for easy journeys… the numbers stack up pretty well for Walnut Lakes, in the Lincolnshire countryside just under 15 minutes’ drive from Boston. There’s plenty of space to relax at this park, and it’s all reserved for the grownups, as children aged 14 and under are not permitted on site. Dogs are very welcome, however, and can have a good stretch of the legs on the dedicated half-mile dog walk. As the park is so handily placed for both the A16 and A17, it’s also easy to get out and about to lots of other good places for a walk (whether you’re taking a dog or not…) The central highlight of this farm site is the two lakes, Walnut and Daisy – both fabulous spots for fishing (please bring the relevant licence along) or simply chilling out by the water and enjoying the views. You’ll get views across the lakes from all around the park too, if you’d rather hide out in your own little private corner for a while. This is a park with something of a rural atmosphere, but it’s also one that’s well placed for amenities – within a mile you can walk to a couple of pubs, shops, a restaurant and bus stops (for services to Boston and Spalding). The surrounding area has plenty more to offer in terms of places to eat, drink and shop as well. And of course, it’s well supplied with attractions for your days out too – have a look at the information on site for some ideas.

What customers say

Walnut Lakes is a well-maintained, peaceful adult-only campsite with spacious, level pitches, many overlooking the fishing lakes. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful owners, the cleanliness of facilities, and the excellent fishing opportunities. While generally well-received, some visitors note traffic noise from the nearby A17, and a few suggest the shower and toilet facilities could benefit from updating, though they are described as clean and functional.

From the manager: Good evening,

Thank you for your review.

It’s a little disappointing to get a 7 which brings our rating down a little and is way lower than our overall rating and what we strive from but I have definitely taken your feedback into account.

This is our first year running a site as new owners and due to extreme weather we haven’t been able to clear the ponds of fishes and they are all naturally reproducing they clearly love it here but I understand when you say there are too many. Most of the fisherman love that it keeps them busy tho! 😀

Many thanks for sharing your suggestions,

All the best
Justina

From the manager: Good evening,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

We think our shower facilities for the campsite although not hotel standard but are more than adequate for campsite and do the job, we also don’t agree with 7 for cleanliness, I am yet to find a campsite with public showers that would come close to ours when it comes to cleanliness but I know that everyone’s experience is different. Thank you for taking time to review.

All the best,
Justina

From the manager: Hello Mr Robertson,

It was nice to meet you on the campsite and thank you for some nice comments.

I am a little surprised to see that you won’t be coming back as when we spoke you mentioned you would be looking to come back regularly as we are in convenient location for you and seemed you liked the campsite . I am sorry to see you have chosen otherwise.

Thank you for taking time to review,

From the manager: Hello Susan,

It was nice to host you and thank you for your review.

Just to let you know, if you don’t have a removable tank to take it to elsan point which we have,
we have drains next to water points dotted around the site where you can drop off grey water.

See you again in the future,
Justina
