  • Small, peaceful family-run site 20 minutes' walk from Old Leake
  • 25 minutes' drive from the beach at Skegness
  • Three well-stocked lakes on site for year-round fishing
Fishing folks, feast your eyes on this. Crash in a cosy pod at Lincolnshire’s Lakeview Camping Pods and not only will you get a lovely lake view (you’ll be forgiven for taking that for granted, given the name), you’ll also be mere minutes from casting your rod into the water. Indeed, if you’re so inclined you could spend your whole break by the lakes – there are three of them on site for year-round fishing, stocked with carp (common and mirror), rudd, bream and roach. Not really that into fishing (gasp)? There are plenty of lake views for you too – and easy access to fenland walks, bike rides and birdwatching. You might even consider leaving the place behind in favour of day trips to the beach at Skegness or the markets of Boston, both of which are within a half-hour drive. Should you wish to enhance your rural retreat with a fresh-air cookout, you’ll be chuffed to see that each pod is kitted out with a barbecue stand to perch your disposable on while you sizzle a sausage or few. If you’re more of a country pub type, get walking – your local is about a 10-minute trot away, and there’s more 20 minutes away in the nearest village, Old Leake, where there’s also a small supermarket and a kids’ play area.

What customers say

This is a beautiful, peaceful, and immaculate campsite with exceptionally clean facilities. Guests praise the well-equipped pods and lodges, many highlighting the stunning lakeside views and excellent fishing opportunities. The friendly and welcoming owner, Rachel, is frequently mentioned. Minor points raised include the small size of some shower cubicles and occasional road noise, but overall, visitors highly recommend this site for a relaxing getaway and plan return visits.

Liked 5/5 Stars: An Unreal, Incredible Escape at Lakeview Camping Pods!
My partner and I recently spent two nights at Lakeview Camping Pods (September 26–28, 2025) and honestly, the experience was incredible from start to finish. This is glamping luxury at its finest.

We stayed in a lovely one-bedroom camping pod, and it was truly unreal. The quality of the build, the comfort, and the overall design made it feel like a boutique hotel room, not a pod. It was spotless, cozy, and perfectly set up for a weekend getaway.

The amazing facilities ensured we had absolutely everything we needed without having to "rough it." From the well-equipped kitchenette to the comfortable bedding, every detail was considered. It made packing light a breeze.

What truly elevated the stay was the host. They were so accommodating and clearly take immense pride in the site. Their welcoming nature and willingness to ensure we had a perfect stay made all the difference.

If you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and luxurious escape in Lincolnshire, Lakeview Camping Pods is an absolute must-visit. We cannot wait to return!

Disliked nothing!!!!

Hive camping pod

Liked The Hive pod is great, it’s well insulated and everything feels high quality and super clean. We took a small electric fan heater which warmed the pod when we arrived (there isn’t an heater in the pod) and the rest of the weekend the pod stayed warm. The cooking facilities were great and on a cold evening there’s enough room inside to relax. Having a toilet & sink in the pod is fantastic. Rachel the owner came to see us & check everything which was fab.

From the manager: Thankyou for leaving this review. What you haven’t put in your review is, as soon as you contacted me with the problem I moved you straight away so that you and your husband could be more comfortable. I upgraded you to a different accommodation. The sofa bed has now been replaced in The Hive.

Hive camping pod

Liked Everything.! It is a beautiful quiet place and the accommodation was cozy and welcoming. The fishing was absolutely amazing the best place we have ever fished.!! Myself and my husband caught 9 each over a 3 day period I caught my biggest ever carp at 8.5lb which I was extremely happy with.! We will be coming back as soon as we can 😁

Disliked The only thing that we disliked was the sofa bed we decided to sleep in the bunks because it was too uncomfortable.

1 bedroom camping pod

Liked Lovely clean pod, well equipped too. Dog run area packed with trees was greatly appreciated. Fishing was good. Excellent value for money

Disliked Site paths were gravel, with quite steep traffic control ramps. This made it impossible for me to get round the site on my mobility scooter, so i couldnt walk the dog, or join my husband by the lake.

1 bedroom camping pod

Liked I have just returned from a 2 night stay here. Rachel was so welcoming. The accommodation was clean and had a lot more extras than I had imagined. The toilets were near to the Pods. My son has just started fishing. There was loads of big carp to catch. Peaceful but yet not to far from , Skegness, Boston, car boots. Loved it so much, booking to come back next month.

Liked This was our second visit this year ,
We like the peaceful and well kept site .
Love the cleanliness of the facilities. They have a new dog excercise are which is a great addition to the site .
The hideaway has very spacious seating area outside and is very private which we like . Communication is very good about arrival and departure times etc
Rachel popped round to make sure everything was ok which is a nice touch .

Local attractions

It’s not all about the fishing – this is a fine place for folks who fancy a bit of rural rambling or riding. There are plenty of quiet lanes and footpaths around for a bike ride or a walk (excellent news for those bringing a canine pal), and some super nature trails for birdwatchers at the RSPB Freiston Shore reserve, 15 minutes away. Advanced equine handlers may be in the area for dressage lessons or competitions five minutes away at Sheepgate Equestrian; those with less refined skills or who just fancy seeing some of the countryside from horseback can join lessons or hacks from a riding centre 10 minutes away instead. Steer seawards and you’ll hit Skegness in about 15 minutes for beach days and trips to its aquarium, seal sanctuary and go-kart track. Head inland instead to visit the market town of Boston (20 minutes) for boat trips and the bubblecar museum, or take your shopoholic self to the antique centres of Horncastle, half an hour away.
