  • Small, peaceful family-run site 20 minutes' walk from Old Leake
  • 25 minutes' drive from the beach at Skegness
  • Three well-stocked lakes on site for year-round fishing
Fishing folks, feast your eyes on this. Crash in a cosy pod at Lincolnshire’s Lakeview Camping Pods and not only will you get a lovely lake view (you’ll be forgiven for taking that for granted, given the name), you’ll also be mere minutes from casting your rod into the water. Indeed, if you’re so inclined you could spend your whole break by the lakes – there are three of them on site for year-round fishing, stocked with carp (common and mirror), rudd, bream and roach. Not really that into fishing (gasp)? There are plenty of lake views for you too – and easy access to fenland walks, bike rides and birdwatching. You might even consider leaving the place behind in favour of day trips to the beach at Skegness or the markets of Boston, both of which are within a half-hour drive. Should you wish to enhance your rural retreat with a fresh-air cookout, you’ll be chuffed to see that each pod is kitted out with a barbecue stand to perch your disposable on while you sizzle a sausage or few. If you’re more of a country pub type, get walking – your local is about a 10-minute trot away, and there’s more 20 minutes away in the nearest village, Old Leake, where there’s also a small supermarket and a kids’ play area.

What customers say

Lakeview offers a peaceful and scenic escape, highly praised for its immaculate cleanliness and well-maintained grounds. Guests consistently highlight the exceptional fishing opportunities, with many reporting successful catches. The pods and shepherd's huts are described as clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Friendly and attentive owners, particularly Rachel, are frequently mentioned. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a recurring minor point concerns the comfort of sofa beds in some accommodations.

Liked Took the family away for a few days and have to say, it’s a lovely place! Even better if you’re into fishing 🎣. It was the young one’s first proper time fishing and he had a great time — as did we all!
The lakes/ponds are really well stocked and it’s a great place for a relaxing break. We’d definitely return, and even more so for a kid-free getaway! 😂
Great for families, but also perfect for couples looking for a peaceful few days away. Definitely recommend! 👍

Reszta super. Miło spędzony czas na relaksie.

Hive camping pod

Liked Absolutely stunning! Pictures don't do it justice. Area is gorgeous, close enough to Skegness for the beach and days out. Clean and well stocked with everything you need. Very friendly on arrival, very much left to do as you please, come and go, just call when needed. Ducks, birds and loads of fish! Lovely shower aswell, adjustable temperature and pressure.

Disliked The ONLY thing that let it down was the sofa bed, rock hard where it folds that no amount of blankets could fix. But okay for short stays. Maybe bring an air mattress

1 bedroom camping pod

Liked Quirky little pod, with mini kitchen and bed, plus couch that can an extra bed if needed. Shower and toilet right outside pod. Very clean facilities. Sits on 3 lakes that can be fished with a licence. Secure entry to park with key pad that Rachel lets you know before arrival. Would happily return

Local attractions

It’s not all about the fishing – this is a fine place for folks who fancy a bit of rural rambling or riding. There are plenty of quiet lanes and footpaths around for a bike ride or a walk (excellent news for those bringing a canine pal), and some super nature trails for birdwatchers at the RSPB Freiston Shore reserve, 15 minutes away. Advanced equine handlers may be in the area for dressage lessons or competitions five minutes away at Sheepgate Equestrian; those with less refined skills or who just fancy seeing some of the countryside from horseback can join lessons or hacks from a riding centre 10 minutes away instead. Steer seawards and you’ll hit Skegness in about 15 minutes for beach days and trips to its aquarium, seal sanctuary and go-kart track. Head inland instead to visit the market town of Boston (20 minutes) for boat trips and the bubblecar museum, or take your shopoholic self to the antique centres of Horncastle, half an hour away.
