  • Simple, peaceful paddock pitches in Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park
  • Next door to a donkey sanctuary; five minutes’ drive from the beach
  • Village pub a short walk away; barbecues and firepits allowed on site
Space, sunsets and simple back-to-basics living… you’ll be able to pick any plot within The Paddocks Pop-Up Campsite’s peaceful off-grid paddock pitches. Totally wild camping-style, this site is in Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park, two minutes’ walk away from Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary on the outskirts of Huttoft (whose beach and car terrace, happily, is just five minutes’ drive away). Basic facilities are part of the pleasure of this stay, so you’ll have access to just a portable toilet and fresh drinking water (put away in portable jerry cans, topped up daily). The traditional wild camping code is important here, as guests will need to take all their rubbish away and leave no trace behind. That’s because wildlife is pretty active around the site, as it’s surrounded by the countryside – walks over fields and farmlands galore, of course, and some to the coast if you wish. You may also hear the chorus from birds and the occasional braying donkey- that’s down to the sanctuary next door, which is open on select days. There are no shortages of places to get some grub into you in the surrounding area, including local restaurants, takeaways and farm shops – and that's not forgetting the village pub 10 minutes’ walk away. Guests are also welcome to light a barbecue or a firepit on site if they’d rather, as long as it’s kept off the grass with the bricks provided.
