  • Quiet adults-only park among Lincolnshire farmland; dogs allowed
  • A 20-minute drive from beaches at Skegness and Mablethorpe
  • Half a mile from the village pub and shop
A warm and friendly welcome awaits at The Nurseries Caravan Park, an adults-only, dog-friendly park in a semi-rural setting in Lincolnshire. Set at the end of a quiet lane and surrounded by farmland, this site is well-placed for relaxing breaks both in the Lincolnshire countryside and by the sea. Coastal trips are particularly easily arranged at Skegness or Mablethorpe, both of which can be reached in about a 20-minute drive. The site is located in the village of Mumby near Alford, and there's a pub and shop about half a mile away on foot or by car (a few last-minute essentials are also available to buy on site). Facilities here include spotless men's and women's toilets and showers, one of which is suitable for people with reduced mobility. There is also a laundry room, a freezer for ice etc., a food preparation area and a separate washing-up sink. Adjacent to the facilities block, there is also a chemical waste disposal point for tourers. Handily, the site has an on-site café for tasty snacks and daily essentials. The Nurseries Caravan Park is very pet-friendly, and there is plenty of safe off-site dog walking to be had in the surrounding area for exploration with your four-legged friend.

This adults-only site is highly praised for its peaceful atmosphere, spacious and level pitches often featuring artificial turf for awnings. Visitors consistently highlight the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, particularly wardens Dave and Tracy. The on-site cafe serving breakfast and the honesty shop are popular additions. Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Everything about the site . Peaceful, clean and very well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble, noticed that hook up leads and waste water pipes were being loaned out, by Dave ( site warden) . On site cafe was fantastic, Tracy cooked the bacon exactly to my taste, and everything was cooked fresh for everyone. Plus the added sausages for pets!. We met some of the seasonal residents whilst staying, and they were very friendly, to ask things if Dave wasn’t around. Also pointed us in the direction of shops for our extra requirements, as this was a first time out for our Motorhome. Can’t give anything lower than 10/10: for this site, had a fantastic stay.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Absolutely amazing site. Facilities were spotless and everything from the honesty shop to the breakfast cafe, to the fridge and freezer space were all well considered and appreciated.
Dave greeted us on arrival and was there to send us on our way, even checking the van over in our way out. Lovely guy and very knowledgeable about local facilities. We followed advice on pizza delivery, and then a meal at the local Red Lion pub, which were both amazing. We've definitely come back a few pounds heavier, but will certainly be back!

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Everything about our stay was excellent, from point of arrival and meeting Dave who was extremely friendly and informative. He gave us a tour of the amenities and escorted us to our site. The toilet and shower facilities were clean with everything in good working order. Lovely hot shower. The shop was well stocked and the little cafe serving an English breakfast an added bonus on your day of departure. A little extra was the artificial grass next to the hard standing area which enabled us to peg our awning easily and no need for a ground mat! Would definitely recommend and will most definitely return. Thank you Dave and Tracy

Electric grass pitch

Liked Everything! The pitch size was perfect, the electricity worked well, the WiFi on site was fantastic, the toilets, showers and kitchen were all immaculate, the grounds were very well maintained and kept and the couple that run it (Dave and Tracey) were really really lovely.
When we first arrived, we were greeted by Dave who showed is round and explained how everything worked which was a lovely touch. He was very welcoming and his knowledge of the area was wonderful.
There is a cafe on site and the breakfast is lovely. Its a lively way to get chatting to other campers too.
There's a pub just round the corner (walking distance) which is lovely. If you want to eat at the pub, book early because it's very small and books up fast. We didn't manage to eat there on this occasion unfortunately.
All in all, we loved this site. It was really peaceful and friendly. We will definately be returning to this site and we cant wait.

Disliked We didn't dislike anything. Our whole stay was perfect!

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked A very friendly welcome , showed me around the facilities which were absolutely fine. A lovely little shop with all the essentials, plenty of information leaflets and a pretty cafe. A more than decent dog-walk adjacent to the site. Large sized, flat pitches. A very short walk to a great pub - The Red Lion. A very enjoyable stay.

Disliked Needs more toilet rolls . The shower didn't drain away very well, there was a blockage which I meant to mention but I forgot as I checked out.
Minor things, not the end of the world.

Local attractions

The small seaside town of Sutton on Sea (15 minutes' drive) is an excellent place to start exploring the Lincolnshire coast, with its attractive seafront, pretty public gardens and spectacular natural beach. The place feels more like a village than a town and is a world away from the bright lights and buzzing arcades of similarly nearby Skegness and Mablethorpe (both 20 minutes), both of which are also well worth visiting in their own right. For a change of scene, you could continue along the coast to the Seal Sanctuary (20 minutes), where sick and wounded sea creatures are nursed back to full health, or head inland instead to the National Trust property of Gunby Hall (15 minutes), a handsome 1700s country house with Victorian walled gardens. If you're happy to head slightly further afield, you could sample local ales at Batemans Brewery (25 minutes), plan jaunts to traditional market towns like Louth (35 minutes), a famed foodie hotspot, or leave the countryside behind to visit the cathedral city of Lincoln (an hour) and its pretty medieval streets.
