  • Quiet adults-only park among Lincolnshire farmland; dogs allowed
  • A 20-minute drive from beaches at Skegness and Mablethorpe
  • Half a mile from the village pub and shop
A warm and friendly welcome awaits at The Nurseries Caravan Park, an adults-only, dog-friendly park in a semi-rural setting in Lincolnshire. Set at the end of a quiet lane and surrounded by farmland, this site is well-placed for relaxing breaks both in the Lincolnshire countryside and by the sea. Coastal trips are particularly easily arranged at Skegness or Mablethorpe, both of which can be reached in about a 20-minute drive. The site is located in the village of Mumby near Alford, and there's a pub and shop about half a mile away on foot or by car (a few last-minute essentials are also available to buy on site). Facilities here include spotless men's and women's toilets and showers, one of which is suitable for people with reduced mobility. There is also a laundry room, a freezer for ice etc., a food preparation area and a separate washing-up sink. Adjacent to the facilities block, there is also a chemical waste disposal point for tourers. Handily, the site has an on-site café for tasty snacks and daily essentials. The Nurseries Caravan Park is very pet-friendly, and there is plenty of safe off-site dog walking to be had in the surrounding area for exploration with your four-legged friend.

What customers say

This adult-only campsite offers a peaceful escape with spacious, level pitches, many featuring artificial grass. Visitors praise the friendly and exceptionally helpful wardens, the well-stocked honesty shop, and the on-site cafe. Facilities are consistently described as clean and well-maintained, though some note the shower block could benefit from an upgrade. Ideal for dog owners, with excellent local walks.

Liked Got there and met with a great warm welcome,, got little honesty shop with essentials , and a great little friendly cafe and started doing evening meals. Not the biggest menu but all freshly cooked and a great friendly vibe ( bring your own booze ) ,, large level pitches and services on your pitch. Toilets and showers are spotless but a good get years old. Need updating

Disliked Would be 10/10 if the shower block got updated

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked As on previous visit, warmly welcomed with information sheets and barrier fob. Escorted to my pitch which is large with plenty of space between neighbours. The small site for shop with honesty box and cafe were welcome additions. The whole site is well maintained, toilets and showers spotless and well stocked. Lovely walks for dog owners. Definitely going to return to this site.

Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Nice pitches. Warden and her husband very welcoming. Lovely peaceful site.
Didn’t use the shower facilities as we have a good shower in our van but the toilet was clean and well maintained.

Disliked The welcome email that is sent out before you arrive needs to be reworded as it’s quite alarming as it says some of the lanes may not passable with a caravan. It advises to follow a particular road but this needs to be broken down into directions. We called ahead and were given some instructions but still ended up getting sent via sat nav the wrong way. That’s the only thing we would say needs to be changed.

Local attractions

The small seaside town of Sutton on Sea (15 minutes' drive) is an excellent place to start exploring the Lincolnshire coast, with its attractive seafront, pretty public gardens and spectacular natural beach. The place feels more like a village than a town and is a world away from the bright lights and buzzing arcades of similarly nearby Skegness and Mablethorpe (both 20 minutes), both of which are also well worth visiting in their own right. For a change of scene, you could continue along the coast to the Seal Sanctuary (20 minutes), where sick and wounded sea creatures are nursed back to full health, or head inland instead to the National Trust property of Gunby Hall (15 minutes), a handsome 1700s country house with Victorian walled gardens. If you're happy to head slightly further afield, you could sample local ales at Batemans Brewery (25 minutes), plan jaunts to traditional market towns like Louth (35 minutes), a famed foodie hotspot, or leave the countryside behind to visit the cathedral city of Lincoln (an hour) and its pretty medieval streets.
