What customers say
This is a lovely, quiet campsite with friendly, welcoming hosts and a peaceful atmosphere. Guests appreciated the clean, basic toilet facilities, running water taps, and flat pitches, some with optional electric hook-up. The site's proximity to an outstanding pub, approximately a 5-10 minute walk, was frequently highlighted. Alpacas are a unique and charming feature. While the campsite is basic, lacking showers and washing-up facilities, its simplicity and location are highly recommended for a getaway, with plans for future improvements noted by the manager.

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Lovely site with friendly, helpful owners and cute alpacas.
Nice pub in the village, just a short walk away.
Disliked Although the toilets functioned well enough and were clean - they could be more attractive, especially as they are close to the lovely wooden hobbit style glamping pods.

Lovely flat plot on the edge…
Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Lovely flat plot on the edge of the village and only 5 minutes walk to a lovely pub. Our hosts were lovely and very welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. This site has no shower block but the toilet facility was great and there are plenty of running water taps.
I can highly recommend staying here and we will certainly be returning :)

Friendly site with simple facilities in lovely countryside
Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Very friendly and helpful hosts, nice and quiet site with flat pitches. The Alpacas visited the paddock adjacent to where we stayed and are lovely.
Nick recommended The Shires pub in the village for food and the recommendation was spot on and beyond that Foxton Locks nearby is well worth a visit in this rather overlooked part of the world
Disliked All good, no complaints

We arrived on the Sunday before…
Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked We arrived on the Sunday before the bank holiday Monday having cut short a hellish stay at another site & we were so glad we did! This is a lovely, quiet site with only a handful of pitches, all decent-sized & with their own fresh water tap & optional electric hook up, which is charged extra at the site. It was lovely to see the alpacas in the neighbouring field. The site owner, Nick, was really friendly, as were his 2 dogs, who we enjoyed fussing. The site is fairly new with 3 brand new glamping pods. There are no showers and the toilets are basic but well-maintained. There is a lovely pub about a 10 minute walk away with a huge beer garden. They do what looks like a lovely carvery on a Sunday, we ate there but didn't have the carvery - what we did have was delicious though so can highly recommend the food there. While we were at the site Nick was telling us about his plans to expand and improve the site - we will definitely be back & look forward to seeing it go from strength to strength!
