Liked Lots of space. The friendly farmer. The beautifully clean and warm loo/shower facilities.
£10 for the wood for fire was enough for 2 nights!
Views and seeing the horses in the field.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked I recently stayed at this campsite and was so impressed! It’s very affordable without compromising on quality. The bathrooms are absolutely amazing—modern, spotless, and clearly well cared for, which made the stay so much more comfortable. The entire site is clean and well maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful . On top of that, the views are stunning—waking up surrounded by such natural beauty was the highlight of my trip. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, budget-friendly getaway.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked We loved our stay!

We were met by the hosts on arrival who where friendly and approachable, they showed us where all the facilities were and was provided with logs and a firepit following adding this on on pitchup and had an amazing stay. The campsite is on the riding school site which meant we where surrounded by horses which was a nice added touch. The bathroom/shower facilities where spot on, immaculately clean and really well presented. The hosts should very proud of what they have created. We where lucky enough to have the field to ourselves for a few hours and the dogs has an amazing time running around.. and finally the views when we woke up where amazing. We were in a roof tent so was elevated off the floor but it was beautiful.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked Warm welcome from the owners who are rightly proud of their new venture . Lovely setting on a working farm with great views. Good facilities, heated shower rooms with a rustic feel and plenty of hot water. Dog friendly with easy walks from the site. Good áccess from main travel routes North and South, great for overnight stays. We look forward to visiting again and seeing the site develop.

Local attractions

Always on the lookout for a good stroll? There are plenty of green spots to go to in this splendid patch of Leicestershire countryside. The nature trails at Beacon Hill Country Park (15 minutes’ drive) will probably please the kids; play areas and sculptures are scattered around for them to run to and investigate. Calke Abbey (15 minutes) is a particularly grand setting for a stroll, with 600 acres of countryside and gardens to its name. The country house has lots of points of interest, no matter whether you’re into plants, animals or history, including National Nature Reserves, a deer park, a walled garden, a 19th-century church and an old stable yard. Spotting the peacocks and fallow deer at Bradgate Park (35 minutes) can fill yet another adventurous afternoon. If you’d like to see a wider range of animals and critters, Twycross Zoo (20 minutes) is a wise choice; it has all four Great Apes, as well as penguins and elephants. Those who are into their motorsports are also well-based here. Donington Park Circuit (10 minutes) has a busy annual calendar with car and motorcycle events.
