What customers say
This is a spacious, well-located campsite praised for its friendly and helpful staff. Visitors appreciate the natural setting, ample room to choose pitches, and the option for campfires. The adventure playground and farm are popular with children. While facilities are generally seen as basic but clean, some guests found the portaloos and limited showers/sinks less than ideal, particularly when busy. The site is considered good value, offering easy access to London.

Nicht gut!
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Really spacious campground, quiet surroundings…
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Really spacious campground, quiet surroundings
Disliked really awful toilets (just 2 smelly dixies), have to walk to guest toilets on other side of country park for decent offering. Only 1 outside shower. Why?

Great campsite
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked I love this campsite. I stayed here before a year or more ago and it was great this time too. Plenty of space, friendly staff and neighbours, everything worked well, no problems. I love that you can have a fire here. All good! Thanks very much.

We'll definitely be back, staff were all very friendly
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lots of space, the kids enjoyed the farm and playground.
I really appreciated that the camp site has a security on site and that they walk around the field in the evening.
Disliked Having to pay to have a fire.
The port a loo style toilets were a bit gross, people leaving No. 2's visible instead of continuing to flush was a constant problem and not nice to have to deal with when young kids are desperate to use the toilet.

Okay for one night, clean portaloos & lots of children playing
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked We liked that the toilets were regularly cleaned & restocked. Playground that is nearby is great & my boy loved it.
Disliked There are proper toilets, but they are a short walk away. The toilets that are on the campsite are portaloos. Just two tap sink stations (both serving as a way to wash hands after using the toilet & washing up kitchen crockery.) at peak times, this wasn't enough , plus the water here is cold, there is no hot feed. The campsite is on a hill. Check in information that got sent was too much, got given multiple postcodes to use & one of them took me down a private road to a dead end in the woods. Quite dear considering the facilities.

A good family campsite or first time campers
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Zak on the desk and all other staff extremely helpful, even a security guard over night.
Great walks, and lot’s to do.
It was quite busy and when its’s busy you tend to be close to other campers (which is fine if you like that) but if you want some peace and space then maybe not this site.
We took our dog, wasn’t many other dogs around which worked well for us.
Disliked Poortaloo’s - very clean on arrival around lunchtime, but by the morning horrid.

I’ve already recommended this campsite and they’ve already stayed!
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Such a fabulous campsite with lots of activities very close for my daughter. Staff were very polite and helpful. The toilets and showers were exactly as they said they were in the description, and if the Porto style isn’t somewhere you like to go, there is a hardstanding toilet block near the play area.
