Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Very peaceful, well maintained site. Only stayed one night. Lovely area would have liked to explore more.

Disliked: Lack of facilities but we knew this and we were only staying one night. I think however that this would limit the length of our stays in future even though we have a motorhome.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Absolutely beautiful and tranquil site. Loved seeing the cows every day for their little walk to be milked and we even got to see some baby calf’s. Lovely clean site where you literally just pitch up! Even the quirky toilet block was always clean and tidy. Will definitely be back again

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: If you're after peace and quiet this is the place to head for. Very well maintained site on the banks of the river, lovely walks directly from the site , beautiful surrounding countryside and villages. You'll need to be self sufficient regarding showers in your van/camper/tent as there is no site shower but it clearly states that anyway. Phone signal/data on the three network is very poor/virtually non existant despite their coverage maps claiming it to be a good signal, obviously this is nothing to do with the site owners.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Nice quiet site just turn up and pitch up no one to great you. Really liked this site and would return

Disliked: 2 vans spread out right in front of river preventing anyone else fitting on to area or getting into river maybe more instructions to reverse back rather than sideways

Local attractions

Acquaint yourself with the gorgeous half-timbered architecture of local villages like Pembridge (five minutes’ drive) on the Black and White Trail, a 40-mile route that wends its way through north Herefordshire, taking in Lyonshall (10 minutes) and Eardisley (20 minutes). You’ll also find lots of fine timbered buildings in Ludlow (25 minutes) as well as a medieval castle and lots of pubs to have a taste of local ciders. If you’d rather be exploring on foot, Offa’s Dyke Path (half an hour) meanders roughly along the border with Wales. If you venture further into Wales, you can follow paved walking and cycling routes leading around reservoirs in the Elan Valley (50 minutes). Animal-mad kids can greet donkeys and goats at the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre (15 minutes), or you can (hopefully) wear them out canoeing on the Wye river (55 minutes). If that doesn’t quite do the trick, send them off to search out the madcap follies in Westonbury Mill Water Gardens (10 minutes).
