What customers say
This immaculately kept campsite boasts breathtaking views and a truly welcoming, helpful host. Pitches are spacious and level, with excellent, clean facilities including hot showers. Ideal for walkers, with a river and swings for children. While wasps were occasionally noted, the main concern for some visitors was the limited number of combined toilet/shower cubicles, potentially leading to queues during busy periods. Some also suggested improved rubbish disposal.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful campsite with lovely views
Disliked Clearly overbooked for the amount of facilities they have. Only 4 shower blocks that kept clogging up. Also only one washing up sink. Long queues to wash up

Beautiful site, large & level pitches, no overcrowding….
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Amazing…what a welcome by John, so so friendly and kind, helping with anything during our stay. The showers and toilets spotless, laying out of the site considered and atmosphere magical, (especially at night with the twinkly lights!!)
Matt also a great asset to the site, on hand and there to help anyone who needed it, delivering the all important wood bundle for the evening fires, personally collecting your rubbish, etc. Overall, a most enjoyable camping experience with the beautiful back drop of the Black Mountains, l would highly rate the Cayo Retreat….we will definitely be back

Beautiful Site
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The campsite was beautiful with lovely views and well cared for grounds. The host came to greet us and was friendly with lovely dogs! The showers/ toilets were clean and in good working order. Great location with a lovely village shop down the road.
Disliked More toilets/ showers - toilets and showers are combined and only 2 female and 2 male. Was not a problem for us as we were there on a quiet monday night but could cause queues during busier times!
