What customers say
This is a peaceful and beautiful site with lovely lake views and friendly, welcoming owners. Guests praised the informal feel, great value, and delicious cafe food, particularly breakfast. While facilities are basic, the site is well-kept and easily accessible. It's ideal for those seeking a quiet getaway in the countryside. A few visitors noted the basic facilities and a nearby busy road, but overall experiences were very positive, with many planning return visits.

The positives outweighed the negative & thoroughly enjoyed my stay!
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked The peace & serenity & only 5 pitches..
With spectacular views of the lake.
Bonus having a small cafe.
The price was a bargain.
Disliked Toilet facility could be improved, however, I was only there for one night....was very basic.

Beautiful setting, very peaceful!
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked It's one of the cleanest lakes I have seen for a fishery. Beautiful maintained grounds, very peaceful, and I felt at peace.
Met a lovely local family that came for one night. The place is a nice little hidden gem tucked away, to escape the grind of everyday life. 2 nights was just right for me.
Owners very helpful.
Disliked A bit regimented with where you can pitch. Overall, it ended up well with me having a better view of the lakes.
A little noise from neighbouring field/road.

Liked Really friendly and helpful owners. They were sympathetic to us having a reactive dog and made us feel welcome. They made us aware that there was a lady in one of the tents who was really scared of dogs which allowed us to be mindful of that. They also informed us that there was another dog on site who was an assistance dog so would be no bother. They also pointed us in the right direction for the egg vending machine in the nearest village. Beautiful lake in quiet field, plenty of space for kids and dogs to play away from the main camping area. Toilet on site and bins . Grass was well looked after. Maximum 5 pitches at any one time. The takeaway hot chocolate for the road was delicious. The owner's dogs do roam freely on site for a cuddle and some scraps 😆. Unfortunately this set our reactive dog off , but when I mentioned that we were struggling with this the owners were amazing, ensuring that the dogs stayed off the pitches whilst we were there. Very empathetic and accommodating, being aware of the individual needs of their on site guests to ensure everyone had a peaceful stay.
Disliked The tractors fly past in the road that runs alongside the camping area of the field, however this only happened a couple of times

Very good. Recommended for a day or two stopover.
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Gorgeous setting. More facilities for the price than most: drinking water, elsan point, toilet, cafe. Friendly people. Laid back. Entertaining robot grass mower that never stopped!
Disliked All areas had a "very slight" slope. Cafe didn't open till 10am, so never got the breakfast!

Lovely peaceful setting. Would recommend.
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked So peaceful. Had a resident dog that used to do visits to us several times a day. She was so friendly and made me laugh . I’m sure she thought she was park monitor and hope that someone had a spare sausage 🤣
Will definitely be going back.
Disliked On a slight slope so if busy and you have to park facing outwards or inwards you may need chocks. It was quiet for our stay so we parked sideways on and didn’t need them.
