Just off the Cotswold Way and with Gloucestershire views that seem to go on for miles, The Hoot has contemporary glamping accommodation set in complete privacy within the grounds of a small working farm.
Each smart wooden unit comes complete with a well-equipped kitchenette kitted out with everything you need to make family meals. Stylish and neat interiors include separate lounge and dining areas, and for cooler times there’s a woodburner to keep everyone cosy and warm. All bed linen is supplied so that’s less for you to pack.

A stroll around Westonbirt Arboretum (25 minutes) turns up all manner of rare and exotic trees, especially when the colours pop in autumn, while a ramble at Painswick Rococo Garden (25 minutes) takes you to 18th-century follies, formal box gardens and a maze.
