Liked Great campsite. We loved our stay here. Two miles from Bathurst outdoor pool and good take away curry nearby. We loved that we could arrive and leave when we wanted so we had a lazy pack up day. The games room is a game changer for the children. Car boot sale on a sunday is a bonus.

Disliked The road can be a bit loud at night if you are a light sleeper.

Liked Lovely little field, a massive field over a stye, where the dogs run free, clean toilets and shower room, collected some walnuts and apples from the trees , friendly owners

Liked Friendly owners, great local walks from the campsite, especially down to the river Severn. The facilities were very clean and adequate. We didn't have any trouble with too much noise. We visited at just the right time to take advantage of the apple crop.

Hikers should grab their boots and head off into the Wye Valley National Landscape (15 minutes’ drive) to follow sections of the scenic Wye Valley Walk along the river banks. Kids unwilling to walk? Tempt them with colourful art installations on the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail (25 minutes), or let them have a run around in the moss-covered undergrowth at Puzzlewood (15 minutes). If little legs tire, you can all hop aboard the Forest of Dean Railway (10 minutes) to chug through the woodland by heritage train.
