Pepper pot cafe bar

  • Green and spacious park in Gloucestershire
  • Seven miles to Sharpness Canal and Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust
  • On-site café-bar serving breakfast, coffee and lunch
Greenery and space are on the menu at The Pepper Pot Caravan Park near Dursley in Gloucestershire, which is kept tiptop by its on-site and friendly wardens, who live in and are on hand for any advice or help needed by Pepper Potters during their stay. Facilities are well-maintained and in a purpose-built shower and loo block; an indoor washing-up area and a coin-operated washing machine are also on site. But one of the greatest bits about The Pepper Pot Caravan Park? The Pepper Pot Café Bar, a place to get your mitts on traditional breakfasts, fresh coffee, light lunches and children's meals every morning and afternoon. This is a very decent spot to use as a base for exploring Gloucestershire and its surrounds, particularly for those who like their wildlife or historic homes. Two golf clubs are within a quick drive, as is Berkeley Castle (10 minutes' drive away) and the Cattle Country Farm Park (five minutes' drive).

What customers say

This is a well-maintained, clean, and friendly site, praised for its spacious, level pitches with water hook-ups. Facilities, including showers and toilets, are consistently described as spotless. The on-site pub receives high marks for its food and atmosphere. Its convenient location near the M5 is noted for both accessibility and potential traffic noise, which most guests found unobtrusive. While generally praised, some mention limited on-site amenities for children and dogs.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked The outer gate is closed from 10pm to 7pm, please plan your trip accordingly. The inner gate has a code which will be provided by the host - make sure you have enough credit on your phone to call when you arrive, otherwise smooth check-in. The Pepper Pot Pub is now the Pepper Pot Cafe, open from 9am - 4pm, will provide wifi. There is a washing machine, and a clothes horse for drying. Fully enclosed wash-up area, other campers reported nice hot water. Showers and toilets pretty clean.

Disliked Yes, it is noisy in a camper van as well as in the tent, statics and caravans are mostly better insulated. For an extra £1 the host will kindly provide earplugs (bring your own if in doubt). - No wifi on site. - No camping kitchen, i.e. no kettle, no microwave, no toaster. No power socket available to charge any devices.

Liked Another return to this excellent site. Friendly and helpful warden. Good level pitches. Facilities immaculate. Lovely location in the Gloucestershire countryside with a good long walk uphill into North Nibley. Excellent Cafe and bar next Door.

Disliked The noise from the nearby M5 is the only thing that stops this being the perfect site.

3 bedroom static caravan

Liked The static caravan we stayed in was clean, spacious and warm and it was an ideal location for our visit to Badminton horse trials. The site manager Nikki was very friendly and helpful. We also had a delicious breakfast at the Pepper Pot Cafe situated next door to the site. We would happily stay here again.

Liked Nicky the warden was amazing, so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, made us feel so at home......Lovely campsite with spacious pitches, showers are spotlessly clean, excellent facilities, pub on site which looked nice although we didn't visit it.
