Electric grass pitch

Liked: It was clean the owner was very friendly and approachable. Animals on site which were really cute! Good facilieties, good showers nice and warm inside , warm water at all times, washing up facilities clean and good hot water to wash up. Cafe on site friendly with a good variety of stuff, COFFEE IS DELICIOUS! We had a coffee from there every morning. We have been here last year and would definitely come back. Forest of Dean is 15 minutes drive and Bike Park Wales is 58 minutes well worth it for biking families too !

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: Pitch was water logged, owner knew that but still had us and others on there, getting bogged in and him having to pull everyone off with a 360' damaged our caravan in the process. Arrogant, rude the staff were. Toilets/showers were filthy, more toilet paper on the floor than on the roll. Not child friendly site at all.

Local attractions

Symonds Yat (20 minutes’ drive) sits on a rocky outcrop above the River Wye. After you’ve admired views of the valley and lush countryside (and perhaps spotted a peregrine falcon or two soaring above the water), you can take a stroll through the forest (there are several circular trails) or hire a canoe or paddleboard to take in the scene from a different viewpoint. Cross the River Wye and you’re in Wales, where you can spend a few hours wandering around the pretty town of Monmouth (20 minutes), with the stone Monnow Bridge, the Castle & Regimental Museum and a thriving high street lined with cafés and independent shops. The remains of Tintern Abbey (35 minutes) stand on the banks of the River Wye, and what remains they are. Built in the Middle Ages, this ruined edifice still impresses with its Gothic window frame decorating the facade and arches running the length of the nave. The green forested setting is no slouch either, with Lippets Grove Nature Reserve just across the river.
