Liked Very good site, pitches excellent, a bit hilly in places but mine was superb, great services, and pleasant outlook.

Washroom was very good and all the facilities you could ask for.. pot wash, laundry, hot water, etc. 5*

Site wardens were brilliant, super friendly and other campers were likewise

Disliked In 2026 the lack of wifi, especially in an area of poor mobile signal

Liked Gepflegte Anlage.

Liked We visited for the first time over the weekend and honestly had an amazing experience. We learned plenty along the way, especially not to forget the electric hook up. Thankfully, the staff were incredibly helpful and provided us with a spare, which completely took the stress out of the situation.

The pitches are a great size and the facilities were spotless, with only a short walk from the top field. The whole site had a really relaxed atmosphere and every member of staff was friendly, welcoming and approachable. We also loved the information hut and found the local area information really useful.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked to return during the summer holidays.

Disliked That we had to go home.

What customers say

This is a well-maintained, clean, and friendly campsite praised for its spacious pitches, excellent facilities, and convenient location for exploring the Cotswolds. Staff are consistently described as helpful and welcoming. While many enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, some guests note road noise and the distance to facilities from certain pitches. A few mention that some amenities could benefit from an update.

Non-electric grass pitch (sloping)

Liked Friendly staff, clean shower and toilet blocks, plenty of sinks for washing. Excellent travel links to local area well maintained pitches and views.

Disliked Ground was a bit hard to peg out but that was mainly due to the lack of rain for a very long time.

Electric grass pitch (sloping)

Liked Well kept quiet park in a great spot for exploring the nearby Cotswold towns and city of Cirencester.

Service was warm and welcoming upon arrival with thorough instructions and advice given for your stay.

Disliked Whilst all necessary amenities are present and kept immaculately, it would have been nice to have had another amenity block in the upper half of the site.

The electric pitch that we were given was in a wide open space with no shelter or privacy.

No WiFi over the site, but that's not a massive issue.

Local attractions

With Cheltenham racecourse a mere 30 minutes’ drive away, this site is a prime pick for horsey types – but if the gee-gees don’t have the family galloping for joy, there are other four-legged, fleet and feathered options at the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens, also half an hour from base. If the Cotswold Gardens grow enthusiasm for stately houses and grand designs, there’s plenty else hereabouts to entice: Chavenage House, Berkeley Castle, Bowood House, Sudeley Castle, Newark Park and Dyrham Park are all within an hour for old piles, and Westonbirt Arboretum and the gardens at Highgrove (Charlie and Camilla’s royal digs) are definitely worth a turn half an hour away. For more urban explores, start 15 minutes from the site in the scenic village of Bibury to have a poke around the Chedworth Roman Villa, travel on to Bourton-on-the-Water (20 minutes) for Birdland, a maze, a motoring museum and a model village, then take things up a notch in Cirencester, where there are Roman remains, museums, markets, parks and a manor house all waiting for visitors. Keep things soothingly low-key with a spin on the Swindon and Cricklade steam railway, 25 minutes away, or get a bit more active with watersports, paintball, fishing and horse riding at Cotswold Water Park or an adrenaline-fuelled day at the Gloucestershire Rally School, both within 20 minutes.
