  • Caravan and Motorhome Club site within a Grade-I listed estate
  • On the edge of Cirencester in the Cotswolds National Landscape
  • Member price shown; non-members select £15/night extra or join for £69
A grand historic location, but with all the modern facilities you need for a comfortable stay – that’s the enticing mix that’s on offer at Cirencester Park Club Campsite, a smart touring park on the edge of Cirencester. This peaceful park is part of the fabulous Grade I-listed grounds of the Bathurst Estate, with pitches looking out over sprawling green parkland and mature woodlands. Staying here gives you exclusive pedestrian access into the neighbouring Cirencester Park too – a particular bonus if you’ve brought dogs that need a walk. You can also take a five-minute walk to The Old Kennels for a restaurant and award-winning microbrewery, or stroll into town in about 20 minutes for shops and places to eat. This site is managed by the Caravan and Motorhome Club and open to members and non-members, with special rates for members. The price displayed is the member price; non-members will need to select the £15 per night extra or become a member. That means the £69 annual membership is well worth considering if you're likely to spend more than four nights at a Club site over the year – it brings discounts at more than 140 UK sites, plus a raft of other perks, like access to tailored caravan/motorhome insurance and discounts on days out. Touring pitches here are nicely sized and have access to high-quality facilities including a play area, a launderette, a chemical disposal point and a bathroom block with family room and accessible facilities. There’s also an ANPR system for security and an efficient check-in process.

Local attractions

Cirencester was England’s second-largest town during the Roman occupation, so it’s no surprise that it’s still full of history to explore. The Roman amphitheatre and Corinium Museum are the heritage highlights, and you can shop in the traditional markets on Mondays and Fridays. The town also has an open-air pool for dips in warm spring water. Being on the edge of the Cotswolds National Landscape, you’ll also be close to some of the area’s other top spots – places like Bibury (20 minutes’ drive), Bourton-on-the-Water (35 minutes) and Stow-on-the-Wold (40 minutes) are all worth visiting, and there are lots of fabulous walks through the rural scenery too. For other days out, you may like to try Cotswold Sculpture Park (10 minutes), Cerney House Gardens (15 minutes) or Westonbirt Arboretum (25 minutes). Family-friendly options nearby include Cotswold Country Park & Beach (10 minutes), STEAM - Museum of the Great Western Railway (half an hour) and Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens (40 minutes).
