  • Well-equipped, adults-only shepherd’s hut in Cotswolds countryside
  • Broadway Tower and Chipping Camden shops 10 minutes’ drive
  • Hob and microwave in the kitchen; dog-friendly with woodland walks
If you’re looking for a peaceful and adults-only Gloucestershire retreat tucked away under a canopy of trees, you’ve found it at Cotswold Shepherd’s Hut. You'll need a car to get here: the cosy, dog-friendly retreat sits well off the road down a single track with potholes (used every day by the owners with no issue). It's surrounded by woodland, with its own private parking space and a garden with a firepit – remember to bring your own kindling and logs – and outdoor seating for two in comfortable wooden chairs with footrests. There’s no need to see anyone else at all if you don’t feel like it. Everything is laid on for you inside the hut; it is furnished with a double bed (quality linens provided), a rainfall shower in the ensuite bathroom and a two-burner hob, fridge and microwave in the well-designed kitchen corner. There’s a cosy living space and heating is provided by the electric-powered “woodburner”. A 10-acre field stands adjacent to the hut, and there are direct walks into Chipping Camden (50 minutes on foot/10 minutes’ drive), where you can find all manner of restaurants, pubs and shops.

Myrtle shepherd's hut

Liked Everything about it!
Beautiful setting
Peaceful
The cabin is stunning and well thought out.
Very comfortable bed

Disliked There is nothing to dislike
Maybe if anything just to add the lane to get to site is a bit challenging but worth it when you arrive.
