What customers say

This adults-only site is highly praised for its immaculate facilities, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient location for exploring Cheltenham and Gloucester via frequent bus services. Pitches are generally spacious, level, and well-maintained with hedges offering privacy. While some guests noted occasional road and aircraft noise due to the convenient proximity to the M5 and Gloucester Airport, most found it did not detract from their stay. The site is recommended for both stopovers and longer visits.

The Beeches fully-serviced grass and gravel motorhome pitch

Liked Wow what a park. Friendly reception. Adult only site with plenty of room for me to park up and set up. Amazing facilities a short walk away from my allocated plot and so clean. Easy access to local areas. I really couldn’t believe my luck staying at this park

Disliked Park is near a motorway and on occasion can be heard but you soon zone out and don’t notice.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed your stay on The Beeches pitch and found the park spacious, spotless, and welcoming. It’s great to hear our location worked well for exploring the area too.

We appreciate your note about the nearby motorway and glad it didn’t spoil your visit.

We look forward to seeing you again!

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Friendly wardens and a lovely site. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and well maintained. Excellent for going into Cheltenham and Gloucester as the bus stops are right at the entrance and across the road. There is an Asda a few minutes away. Received an informative email a few days before we arrived which we found useful. Will definitely be back for another visit.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Beautifully maintained: pitches private with hedging though some were alittle small. toilet/ shower facilities spotlessly clean.
Good to have an enclosed dog field.
Wardens very friendly/ helpful.

Disliked Road noise: although we were expecting some road noise it was more than I thought it would be.
Also , some cars( including with caravans hooked up) tended to drive to fast especially along to top part of the site where we were pitched. Maybe the speed limit should be lowered .

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Dear Julia,

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for choosing to stay with us. We’re delighted you enjoyed the well-kept pitches, spotless facilities, and our enclosed dog field, and we’ll pass your kind words on to the wardens - they’ll be so pleased to hear them.

We appreciate your feedback about road noise and vehicle speed. We’ll certainly look to add additional signage to help keep everyone safe and comfortable.

It’s wonderful to know you’d recommend us and visit again and we look forward to welcoming you back for another relaxing stay.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Access was good, plenty to do in the area, on site dog field. The facility of the motel as my daughter and partner stayed there over the weekend and it was nice central point to meet up.
Nice size pitches
The little touches such as the wire basket to hold your lids whilst emptying the chemical toilet.
The trees, plants and sculptures.
Site so good I stayed an extra 2 nights.
Frequent public transport outside the site.

Disliked Nothing too dislike

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Found this site here on pitch up we originally booked for one night as a stopover on our way home to Yorkshire which was extended to two.The staff on reception are very polite, helpful and friendly we were allocated our pitch and given a site map which was marked out where our pitch was. The pitch was hard standing with gravel and grass very spacious with hedges either side giving it a degree of privacy, also it was very level I only had to adjust the jockey wheel to get it spot on. We were pitched very close to the toilet and shower block which was a bonus, the toilet block is very modern and some of the nicest and cleanest I've seen on a touring site. The showers are push button type and can be a bit tricky getting the temperature you want but once you've mastered that they're spot on. Initially I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough to service the whole site, the site was almost at capacity for the whole of our stay and I never had to qué once. All the other facilities are situated around the toilet block elsan, grey waste and fresh water waste are all next to the recycling waste and very tidy. To the rear of the block is a laundry room we never used that but it looks well equipped. The other side of the block is the pot washing station with large deep sinks and plenty of hot water. Overall the site is kept well manicured and clean we loved it so much our two night stay turned into a four night stay and we will definitely be returning in the future. A couple of things to note the site is in close proximity to the A40 and under the flight path of Gloucester airport so in daylight hours there is some noise but during the night this is greatly reduced and never bother us at all. Also if you're following your satnav it will tell you you have reached your destination while your on the A40 when you clearly haven't, study your maps and street view and you can't go wrong.

Disliked Absolutely nothing

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: What a fantastic review Al thank you so much! We’re delighted you enjoyed your spacious, private pitch and found our facilities clean and convenient. It’s wonderful to hear that our reception team made you feel welcome and that your one-night stopover happily turned into four nights.

Your thoughtful notes about the satnav directions and the daytime A40/airport sounds are really helpful for other guests, and we appreciate you mentioning them. We can’t wait to welcome you back whenever you’re travelling this way again.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Pitch was level and a decent size. Close proximity to the major towns in the area. Easy to access the M5 for travelling.

Disliked Site felt cramped, cars everywhere. No facilities worth talking about such as a shop, pub, restaurant or the like. Toilet/shower facilities whilst clean in need of updating to match the best sites. A lot of road noise and noise from the airport.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your stay didn’t meet your expectations. Many guests compliment our spacious pitches, convenient location, and modern washrooms, so we’re disappointed these didn’t suit you on this occasion.

For anyone visiting, there are two supermarkets (Asda and Aldi) along with a Harvester and Greene King just a 10/15 minute stroll away. Not forgetting the 24-hour bus service outside the gate to both Cheltenham and Gloucester.

We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and wish you all the best on your future travels.

Local attractions

Well. Where do we start? At least a day in Cheltenham first, we think – more if you’re coming to have a flutter at the racecourse just four miles away or jazzing it up at one of the many festivals. Catch the bus early to take in as much as poss: a morning coveting the art, furniture, crafts and jewellery at Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum, many created by Cotswold craftspeople inspired by William Morris, should build up an appetite for lunch and an afternoon of shopping around The Brewery, Bath Road and in the well-lined High Street. Harry Potter fans and the history-inclined will likely want an hour or two at medieval Gloucester Cathedral, used in the first and second films (see if you recognise the Cloisters). Away from Hogwarts, the cathedral has an award-winning exhibition centre, exhibitions and guided tours, and regular events and concerts including The Three Choirs Festival, one of the oldest classical choral music festivals in the world. The Gloucester Docks and award-winning Waterways Museum is also a good afternoon out for heritage fans, while the more modern can find plenty to occupy them at the waterside retail park Gloucester Quays. Plunge into the countryside next for a couple of days in the Cotswolds, where you’ll find acres of things to do whatever your inclination such as punting around local villages like Chipping Camden and Bourton-on-the-Water, or visiting the many museums ranging from Roman to motoring times. Wildlife options abound too, particularly for birders, with the Cotswold Falconry Centre at the Batsford Arboretum, geese and swans at Slimbridge Wetland Centre, and Birdland Park and Gardens in Bourton-on-the-Water where twitchers can see rare birds from around the world, including England’s only group of king penguins. Finally, take a day or two in the ancient Forest of Dean (Harry Potter and co ended up here too), one of the oldest woodlands in the country, to go underground at the old mines of the Clearwell Caves, hire a bike to hit the forest tracks, or, more relaxingly, take the four and a half mile trip from Lydney to Parkend on the Dean Forest Railway.
