What customers say

This adult-only campsite offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Pitches are well-maintained and spacious, with a friendly and helpful owner. Facilities are basic but clean, featuring hot showers. The location is ideal for walks and boasts a highly-rated pub within a short walking distance. While generally quiet, some visitors noted occasional noise from farm machinery or aircraft. The site provides a good value, back-to-basics camping experience.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked The site is in a beautiful setting on a working farm. Steve the owner was very friendly and helpful, and has obviously put a lot of love into creating a wonderful camping experience. The grass was freshly cut and the pitches are fairly level and clearly marked out. The toilet and shower block is obviously kept very clean and well maintained. And the best thing of all is no children are allowed, so the only real noise is from the livestock in the adjoining fields. The nearby pub is a short walk and does good traditional pub food at good value prices. We will definitely be staying again in future.

Disliked Nothing. Can't fault it.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (maximum 7 metres)

Liked Nice well set out site. Flat pitches that are well kept. Facilities are kept clean, two toilets and two showers are adequate for quiet times but in busy times there are queues, (would be useful to increase the number of toilets), Steve maintains the site well and is always on hand to help.with any issues.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (maximum 7 metres)

Liked Nice welcome, fantastic views.
Good facilities

Disliked Rules make you feel like you are the problem. Most people I know who visit sites stick to the rules without the need for sarcastic notices treating everyone like crazy teenagers. A quote from one of our fellow campers summed it up " In France the notices tell you everything you can do, This site tells you everything you can't do. "

He had a point.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely little site with laid back and helpful owners. Very easy to locate too.

The facilities are basic rather than fancy or aesthetic but they are clean, functional and well stocked.

The pitches are a good size so you don't feel like you are on your neighbours lap - some pitches are on a bit of a slope so I would definitely recommend levelling ramps if you are in a camper.

Disliked Aircraft and late night tractor noise.

We received an apology the morning after about the aircrafts and assurance that this was not usual. We were only there one night though so can't comment further. It would not stop us returning :)

Electric grass pitch

Liked The location was stunning and so peaceful. Everything was as described. Pub is literally a five minute walk along the lane and there’s a regular bus service that stops right outside as well. Longnor is a 15 minute walk with a lovely pub and well stocked village shop.

Disliked The very steep and windy road down to the village. Thankfully I didn’t have to attempt to drive up the same road when I left 😂

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (maximum 7 metres)

Liked The relaxed atmosphere, the wonderful views, the sense of remoteness, the facilities, which were basic but clean and exactly what was needed. Hot water.
Great bike riding round about.
A great site, and friendly staff. Level pitches.
