Non-electric grass campervan pitch (sloping)

Liked Location, nice easy walk into Castleton.
Lovely view of Mam Tor, Winners Pass etc.
Toilets clean, plenty of room in the bins.
Goats on site were cute & you can buy food to feed them

Disliked Nobody at reception when we arrived, eventually got through on phone.
Someone was playing music loudly behind us all night but did turn it off at 10pm.
It does state the site is on a slope so we brought chocks for our van but it was still not level despite being on the highest chock level.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch (sloping)

Liked Beautiful scenery all around at the foot of Winnat's Pass. Easy walk into Castleton or up to some of the caverns. Plenty of walks right out of the site!

Disliked The slope of the site is well advertised but could be an issue for some. There's a toilet which could get busy at peak times.

Liked Proximity to Winnats Pass and Castleton being walkable. Was able to get to and from the pubs easily. Toilets and washing up area were clean. Plenty of space, could park campervan anywhere.

Disliked Slope, but had seen it was a sloping site and we got to the campsite later on (7pm) so get there earlier for a good spot.

Guests frequently praise the clean facilities, particularly the toilets, and the friendly, welcoming hosts. Farm animals on site are a popular addition. Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (sloping)

Liked Animals, site, stunning location, easy to find, child friendly, great value for money.

Disliked Sadly group of other campers were driving up and down the field at speed and at all hours! Not the sites fault, did observe the owners telling them to calm it earlier in the day.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (sloping)

Liked This is a great little campsite with Winnats Pass as the backdrop, situated just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Castleton, with lots of walks to choose that could be done from the campsite.
Considering this is a "back-to-basics" campsite, the facilities are great, with a nice little toilet unit that is well kept, and washing facilities.
And if that is not enough, they have goats on site too!! What more can you ask for?!

When reviewing before booking I had seen some negatives comments on the field being on a slant, but honestly, you would hardly notice it and it caused no issues!
