Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: We stayed two nights and arrived early on the Friday to get a good pitch. The Friday night was a lot quieter than the Saturday night though noise or music was never really an issue. The site is in a brilliant location and has all the facilities you need for a few days. We walked to castleton in around 20 minutes and didn’t find the walk too tasking at all.
Disliked: There was several people with dogs off leads and a dog entered our tent.

Liked: Away from everything, honesty boxes for forgotten food and drink were great and not badly made priced, clean toilets, and friendly owner. The site looks directly at mam tor.
Disliked: It was meant to be quiet after 2300 but the drunken idiots didn’t quiet till after 0300, two groups ruined it for us, they had their dogs off the lead to mess everywhere and they didn’t pick it up, not the sites fault but that’s what we disliked.

Liked: The camp location, the owner was friendly and the views were amazing!
Disliked: My car got stuck in the wet grass and the wheels were spinning. It broke down 1 mile after leaving the campsite ended up with an engine problem and had to be towed by RAC to the garage. Apart from this, my experience was amazing. Be careful on wet days and try to stay as close to the entrance as possible. Recommendation for the site owner: Adding some cement or stone paths inside the campsite would be a great help and could prevent car problems
