What customers say

A small, peaceful campsite on a working farm, praised for its friendly and welcoming hosts and stunning views, particularly of Bamford Edge. Facilities are described as basic but clean and functional, with a good hot shower and toilets. Its location is ideal for walkers and cyclists, offering easy access to local trails and pubs. Some visitors noted signage could be improved and facilities are best suited for adults due to their basic nature.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked 10/10 my absolute most favourite site I've been to.
Quiet, clean, great location!
Loved the woman who must run the camp - friendly and welcoming and shared info about the area.
Great facilities and cleaned often (again by the lovely woman).
Definitely going to return again and many more times now!
Oh, loved the chickens plodding around!

Disliked Absolutely nothing - best site!

Liked Ideal location. Apart from the owls very quiet site. What I particularly liked was the help from the farmer when my car battery foiled. Very helpful. Showers were warm and clean

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked We had a brilliant time at Winhill View, it’s a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. You can drive to Sheffield if you need supplies or a bit of city life or equally walk straight from your tent to see the outstanding countryside. Fantastic hosts and a fantastic site we would return!

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Location was only 10 mins from peak cavern
Single shower was nice.

Disliked Part of the field that was left was very uneven, and under the electricity cables.
with no pitch markings some people spread themselves out, which meant the rest had to be very close.

The main road the campsite was off of was extremely busy for such a small road.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Paul and I stayed at Winhill view for four nights got home yesterday we loved the location almost wild camping with a shower and toilet , Debbie came round to make sure all was ok the shower and toilet was cleaned daily .A busy little adult only campsite peaceful beautiful walks we couldn’t fault anything .
We found a lovely friendly pub called Anglers rest about a 20 min walk through the fields passed the beautiful weir .
We highly recommend and will be back they have beautiful lettings with a hot tub as well incase you want friends to join you and don’t like camping .

Disliked .

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Fantastic location, clean convenient campsite with friendly owners.
I will definitely stay there again.

Disliked It could have benefited from site/ pitch marking areas. As we arrived when people were not there and didn't know where was available. But it was all fine.
