Liked: Great location (half an hour's walk from Hadfield station) with lots of nearby walks. Brand new toilets & shower block - very clean and a nice upgrade from the portaloos that were there when I last visited! Cafe/bar on site serving breakfast & hot food (would have been nice to have a couple more vegan options) but very reasonable prices and great portion size for the chips. The site is a little hilly but you can pitch your tent anywhere in the field so this isn't really an issue. Can also rent a fire pit/logs.

Liked: The scenery, atmosphere, facilities, our welcome was warm and informative.
Disliked: Not many flat pitches, we got lucky and got a pretty flat pitch (the site does advertise as on a hill so was expected!) only mentioning incase others see and are aware to bring chocks to level out! Was a great site!

Liked: Campsite was very clean and well looked after. Shower blocks and toilets were immaculate. Animals on site which were fun to see
Disliked: Attitude from member of staff on the morning of leaving found quite rude. Entrance has separate entrance and exit which is sign posted as you leave and enter (as we later discovered) we camped no where near the leaving sign. Staff was quite abrupt when he rudely asked why we “ignored” the rules. Fair enough that we may have forgot about the rule told to us 15 hours prior and did not see the only two sign posts but there was a lot nicer ways to put it.

From the manager: Really sorry a member of staff was rude to you. We had a very busy weekend because of the Party in The Barn 25. It is a new member of staff I will speak to them about their customer management.
Sorry once again.
Will be back in a couple of weeks when the weather warms up.

Liked: Friendly staff. Lovely and super clean toilet and shower block, they looked new.
Stunning views.
The peace.
The onsite cafe is great, as they do hot drinks and meals, so you can have a bite to eat before you pitch up for the night.
