What customers say
This campsite boasts a stunning location, ideal for walkers with direct access to the Pennine Way. Guests praise the friendly and helpful staff, the on-site cafe and shop, and the proximity to local pubs. While newer toilet and shower facilities are well-received, some older blocks are noted as dated and in need of refurbishment. Pitches are generally spacious, though some note a slope. Despite occasional reports of noise from groups, the overall atmosphere is described as relaxed and welcoming.

Liked Good stay. Nice staff who were very accommodating. Gorgeous views. Pizza was amazing.
Disliked The noise curfew is not monitored as it said it would be. The bell tent next to us were so loud and disrespectful until midnight and kept waking up the children.

Liked We really loved our stay, the campsite seems to be the buzzing hub of the village and the bar and cafe was busy with people all day. The campsite was not oversold and there was space enough for everyone.
The site is well run with good facilities.
The location is fantastic.
Disliked The camping field is slightly sloping but it is the peaks!

Grouse non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Very nice site and lovely staff, the amenities were great and well stocked. Absolutely breath taking scenery from walks straight from the campsite.
Disliked Seemed like the field was very crowded, and was quite loud with other guest returning from the pub until 12pm, and lots of them talking and laughing until the early hours of the morning.

Grouse non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Great site & very helpful and friendly staff.
Disliked Not enough toilets / urinals and having to press the shower button every 4 seconds for it to work. WiFi isn’t the best but you are up in the peaks.
