Haven bell tent
Liked: We had a a great time at High Ashes Farm. We went as two families and stayed in the bell tents. These were so well equipped, with literally everything you need..even a radio! The site itself is basic but that's what we wanted. There is a separate shower room and toilet and a duck pond. There are a couple of swings, a dart board, swing shot set and a basketball net, so plenty to keep the kids entertained too...as well as running wild in the fields. The host was very nice and present if we needed anything. The setting is beautiful and we have already recommended it to people. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Serenity bell tent
Liked: What a brilliant place! Stayed with with the family and we had a blast. We stayed in the tent and it was very well kitted and and supplied. The only thing we needed to bring was food and firewood. Everything else - gas BBQ, wood fired pizza oven, microwave, kettle, bedding, tables and chairs, fire pit - ws all provided. Phil was the consummate host and very generous, a top guy! The kids fed the pigs, sheed, chickens and animals and had a gold old device-free weekend of fun in the sun. Toasting marshmallows round the campfire and making pizzas was a highlight. The heater in the tent kept us warm and dry and the fact that there was an additional large tent for the kids to make dens in was great. Will definitely be back!

Serenity bell tent
Liked: We had already fallen in love with High Ashes from the photos online, but my daughter said it was even better than she had imagined! We loved how all of the spaces were so thoughtfully curated. We stayed in the Serenity Bell Tent and Shepherd’s Hut. Everything was very functional as well as aesthetic. We especially loved the pizza oven (thank you, Phil for the cooking tips!) and the kids loved all the farm animals, especially the pigs, Bliss and Betty. We got lucky with the weather and got to enjoy the campfire and a nice countryside walk from the site. On the way out we visited Ashover Rock. Our group ranged from over 70 to under 10 years old, and the varied spaces made it a wonderful retreat for all. We are already looking forward to our next stay! Thank you so much Phil and Ness.
Disliked: Nothing. Everything was spot on and Phil was amazing.

Liked: The Shepherd's Hut was super cosy even in freezing January weather and decorated beautifully. The outdoor kitchen was really well stocked and the loo & shower was clean and comfortable. We made pizzas in the pizza oven and played Trivial Pursuit by candle light, the whole experience was idyllic. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, we will absolutely be back!

Serenity bell tent
Liked: We had a wonderful stay at High Ashes Haven. The location is so peaceful, whilst also within a 8-10 minute drive to local supermarket which was handy. The Serenity bell tent was perfect for us, our older children stayed in the small tent for the first night, and we all slept in the main tent the second. Everything you need was provided, bedding, towels, all the kitchen equipment you could need, a dedicated fridge n the shared kitchen space, as well as a private outside kitchen area near to the tents, logs provided even a cafetière and ground coffee for a morning coffee with a view. The beds were comfy and cozy even during the chilly nights. Phil welcomed us as soon as we arrived, a really nice fella, providing helpful information about the local area, making us feel welcomed as soon as we got there. He was helpful, and just a text away if we needed anything (we didn’t) which was the perfect balance of helpful but providing us with space and privacy. Absolutely spot on. The children were invited to feed the pigs with Phil, and excited to feed the ducks as they pleased. We took a walk to the village, approx a 45 minute walk for us with the kids (would be shorter for adults) through the fields which was very peaceful. The shower and toilet were spotlessly clean, with a rustic charm. This place was perfect for our needs, and we really liked the community project that is run here too. Thank you Phil and Ness for being great hosts and for the wonderful stay.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.
