Liked: Nice view, conveniently located.
Disliked: It's a field with a portaloo in it. A filthy one. I didn't see any staff while i was there. There was a group of guys drinking on the pitch next to mine until 3am.

From the manager: I can only apologise regarding the portaloo, as it’s cleaned daily and restocked but the weekend of you stay I was away and had my husband look after things which seems he did not once again. We’re not a commercial site, but a WILD campsite on private property so you wouldn’t find any staff, I do go out of my way to text all bookings with details were to to pitch etc, if you had let me know there was a problem I could have had this resolved. Guests are crafty booking in as groups that are not valuing we are quiet peaceful site.

Liked: Good value for money, beautiful location and matched description accurately.
Disliked: Stayed for two nights and by second night there was no toilet roll in portaloo and bin was overflowing.

From the manager: Sincere apologies regarding the toilet roll and bin. I put my husband in charge while I was away and he clearly needs a ticking off for not doing as I asked.!

Liked: Brilliant weekend at Stanley Lodge Farm. I arrived at 19.00 on Friday and was the only person there that night - very peaceful and beautiful setting. The site is close to the farm house so (as a solo, and fairly new camper) I felt very safe. The campsite (and facilities) were clean and well-kept. On Saturday night there were another 4 pitches - there was ample space for everyone to keep themselves to themselves. Loads of brilliant hikes either straight from the campsite or a short drive away. Villages for supplies / meals if not cooking at campsite also very close.
