Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked We only stayed here for a night and the weather was not in our favour soo we couldn’t enjoy much. However this is an amazing little campsite with gorgeous views, clean facilities and amazing communication with the hosts.
I will definitely make sure to return in the future as looking forward to enjoying the beautiful views and surrounding areas.
Thank you Jade

Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked Very friendly and helpful owners, jade sent instructions and what3words before hand which made arrival very easy and painless! Viewers were absolutely stunning and there was plenty of space even tho it was fairly busy it was still very quiet and peaceful. Toilets were very clean and well maintained. Love the the site will be returning!

Disliked Little bit windy but the depends on the weather and there are plenty of places you can get away from the wind in the other fields i just chose there because of the view was more important to me

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Location, great view and friendly host. Toilets were also modern and clean. Children liked to look at the farm animals on the fields next to the site. There is pub 5 minutes walk away, however we went to the Anchor Inn (25-30 minute walk) which is a bit more child friendly.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked We had an amazing stay at Southview Farm Camping! We managed to pick the perfect pitch — a lovely south-facing corner spot with a tree that gave us privacy and a beautiful place to camp. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the views were simply stunning.

The facilities were excellent — the toilets and dishwashing sinks were spotless and well-maintained. We also loved the honesty box with snacks and food; such a thoughtful touch and super convenient. The owners were very attentive and always there to help whenever we needed anything, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Another highlight was the location — just a 5-minute walk away is a fancy, cosy, and very pretty pub, perfect for an evening drink or meal after a day outdoors.

Disliked The only downside was the instructions for the nearby walks. They were a bit tricky to follow, and both we and another couple ended up getting lost, which meant we had to head back to camp without really completing the walk.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked We loved the view and it's remote location.
Facilities were immaculate. Jade welcomed us as we arrived and was seen regularly around the site during our stay. There were lots of pitches in different stone walled fields that were well kept. The footpath to the pub was inviting and when we arrived at the pub it was well worth the visit.

Disliked Unfortunately during our stay it was quite windy. This could be expected but we also seem to have arrived at the same time as the wasps. They were very annoying. Obviously this was beyond the control of the site owners.

Local attractions

Where to walk first? The Peak District National Park has so many options you might find it tricky to choose – but a few local favourites include Monsal Dale (10 minutes’ drive), the Hope Valley (15 minutes) and Bamford Edge (15 minutes). Just a little further away (20 minutes) are the lovely landscapes of Mam Tor and the National Trust-owned Padley Gorge. The scenic views continue underground, too, and you’ll be well placed to see some of them as it’s only a 15-minute drive to Castleton, known for its four show caves. Take a boat tour at Speedwell Cavern, see the illuminated caves of Blue John Cavern or Treak Cliff Cavern or visit the only completely natural cave of the four at Peak Cavern. Back up at ground level, it’s worth visiting both the pudding hotspot of Bakewell (15 minutes) and the smart spa town of Buxton (20 minutes), and planning a full day at Chatsworth (20 minutes), which has a farmyard, playground and gardens as well as tours of the ornate mansion.
