What customers say
This site is praised for its excellent Peak District location, friendly staff, and cleanliness. Pitches, facilities, and the children's play area are frequently highlighted as positives. However, many reviews mention significant issues with the cleanliness and smell of toilet and shower blocks, particularly during busier periods. Inconsistent toilet roll restocking and noisy traffic from nearby roads are also noted drawbacks.

Overall a lovely stay for 1 night.
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Location and friendly staff. Very quiet site and spotless facilities
Disliked Pitches on very flat for Motorhomes. Would be better with hard standing pitches rather than stones.

Great site with everything you need. Will be back when it’s warmer.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Loads of room. Clean facilities. Great park for the kiddos. Julie was brilliant at check in. Sadly it rained during our whole time so we weren’t able to enjoy it.
Disliked The toilets next to the shop aren’t in a great state but you don’t have to worry about that.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked The facilities were clean, the park felt safe for the children, the shop was well stocked, and the staff were lovely.
Disliked It would have been great to understand local walks. Nothing we couldn’t Google, but maybe signs for starts of trails.

Stay was ok but no interaction from staff let it down as I was alone.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked It was very clean, spacious and very tidy.
Disliked Staff said they would come over, introduce themselves and give me a welcome pack. But didn’t hear off anyone for the entire stay.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Quiet and peaceful stay.

Okay site but more suited for caravans or touring pitches
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked It was a nice clean site. The people in the reception/shop was very friendly.
Disliked The camping pitches were very sloped and with the trees on the pitches made it hard to get some guidelines out.
The woman’s toilet block had an awful smell on a morning - seems like this is an ongoing issue?
The main route around the site is directly behind the electric pitches and we could hear cars coming past us up to 10pm - this didn’t bother us but I can imagine it may bother some people
