What customers say
This well-maintained campsite offers a peaceful countryside escape with stunning views. Guests consistently praise the clean and modern facilities, including toilets, showers, and washing-up areas. The friendly and helpful staff, along with convenient on-site amenities like a shop and pizza service, enhance the experience. While the site is largely quiet and well-organised, some visitors note that pitches can be hilly and that the single facilities block can get busy during peak times. The location is ideal for exploring the Peak District, with numerous walking routes accessible directly from the site.

A really nice site but campers not really being managed.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (adults only)
Liked The facilities are fabulous, modern and well kept. The pitches are not allocated but you are reminded to leave a 6m distance. The hot food served was marvelous and the owner very welcoming and helpful.
Disliked Should I visit again, I know not to set up near the through traffic road. Not sure why people where still coming and going after midnight and at quite a speed. It would have been nice to see the owners out and about to chat to and then maybe they would have heard 2-3 of the dogs that was constantly yapping.

Liked Perfect location and great facilities. The lady at reception was so kind and even went out of her way to find me a few spare tent pegs when I was caught short! I would definitely stop here again and would recommend to anyone looking to explore the Peak District.

Fab site! Arrive early for the best choice of pitch
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch (family)
Liked Great site. Lovely clean facilities and the breakfast takeaway is great!
Disliked Its a shame the site is quite hilly. On friday I watched lots of new arrivals driving in and going straight up to the top field before coming back out looking a bit annoyed because it was full and setting up in the middle of the field where there's a dip and so a bit flatter. Everyone wants to camp on the edge and its just too much of a slope in some parts.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (adults only)
Liked Great stay as usual. Owners promptly sorted out an issue with a large group of teenagers who'd snuck onto the site as seperate parties.
Disliked Idiotic folk who have no respect for others, the level of entitlement is astounding but sadly not surprising these days.....

Good value and location, clean facilities.
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch (family)
Liked Location great - near Buxton and Bakewell, but no road noise from the A515. Toilet and shower block clean and area well lit at night. Friendly welcome at reception. Can get breakfast in morning and pizza in evening, which we would have used if we were staying longer I think.
Disliked Unfortunately some of the family field is on a slope, but that can't always be helped in the Dales. There were only 4 ladies, 4 men's toilets and showers for the whole campsite. Also, bit of a trek at night from top family field with kids to the toilet.
