A lovely stay in a farm

Peaceful, nice countryside holidays close enough to town
Electric optional grass tent pitch (large)
Liked Really good place. Wide space, private and quiet. Each pitch is quite far away from each other and separated by the woods which I really like
Really refreshing. Good facilities, electricity and warm water function. The owner was friendly and helpful.
Disliked - A bit hard to find and confusing at first as the entrance is the same as a nearby attraction

What customers say
Reviewers consistently highlight the spacious, private, and secluded nature of the pitches, often separated by woodland, providing a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Many praise the friendly and welcoming host, the beautiful views, and the site's proximity to local attractions like Arbor Low stone circle. Facilities, including warm water for washing up and toilets, are generally noted as good and sufficient for a back-to-basics experience. A minor point mentioned is that the entrance can be tricky to find initially. Some experiences noted minor traffic noise, but this was generally overshadowed by the peaceful surroundings.

It was everything we look for…
Secret non-electric grass tent pitch (woodland)
Liked It was everything we look for in a campsite and more.
We love the smaller quieter campsites and this was just absolutely idyllic.
It somehow managed to be both in the middle of nowhere but also close enough to everything still.
It was two minutes away from a well stocked petrol station and a short drive from Bakewell (yes we may have accidentally bought three tarts from the bakery, oh and fudge from the fudge shop).
Our days out walking were only ever a short drive from the campsite although there were plenty of walks even closer if we wished.
Back to the campsite. The pitches were amazing. Gave us complete privacy and space. It was beautiful to watch the sunset with the sheep and cows in the field next to us watching the swifts play. It was a haven of wildlife.
Our pitch was well sheltered by mature trees which was a blessing during windy weather, because of how we pitched the tent hardly moved because of the trees.
There wasn't light pollution so on our last night it was a beautiful clear sky and there were so many stars and I saw the ISS making its way across the sky.
We had a great time away.
Thanks
Disliked Obviously that we had to come home.

Secret non-electric grass tent pitch (woodland)
Liked On arrival, the gentleman was so welcoming and friendly and couldn't help us enough. We also had a laugh which was nice. The area was extremely peaceful considering we took 7 children with us. The site itself had a few pitches and ours was secluded and private which allowed the children to run around and just be children. The pitch fitted 2 family tents and we had a lot of space (not like some which is car, tent, car tent etc) the views were lovely and we enjoyed the livestock next to us. there's a toilet and a sink with warm water and also a fresh water supply. It was back to basic which is just what we were looking for and well needed. Thankyou for your hospitality from us all! Amazing! Thankyou, will definitely be back with more of us
