What customers say
This is a peaceful, basic campsite with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and lovely riverside location. Facilities are generally clean and well-maintained, with flushing toilets and showers. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, the natural surroundings, and the helpful hosts, particularly Jay. Some note improvements could be made to signage and the provision of more sinks, and occasional issues with noise and the condition of temporary toilets during busy periods have been reported.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked No bugs, no fixed tiny pitch space.
Toilets always clean. Irritating but understandable that no bbqs were allowed due to hot weather
Disliked Where to start?
The owner didn’t tell us we were pitched up next to a ‘party’ (aka a mini rave). They had music and loud swearing at 11:00 at night. Owner didn’t give a damn he even delivered their dinner and spent a lot of time among them.
Two of the idiots of the group started a fist fight that ended with a shouting match across the entire campsite. Drunken members of the group then decided to chase after them at high speed in their cars across the campsite.
This is NOT IN ANY WAY a peaceful or safe site for young children. I feel sorry for the kids in that group having to deal with all the swearing and the lack of parenting.
No real access to the river.
The access track was fairly bumpy

From the manager: I'm sorry you had a negative experience.
There was a 21st birthday party as well as Reggaeland in one corner of the field.
Food was to delivered by the owner to prevent Uber coming and going.
We provide amenities in a field and it is up to you if you chose to pitch up next to a party in a 6 acre site when there was so much other space. As regards to minors, we are not responsible for them. It is their parent's duty.
The fight was broken up and two were removed. I doubt whether any campsite during Reggaeland would meet your expectations.
Next time you come, we will make sure everyone speaks the Queen's English,
Best wishes.
I would return

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked A brilliant place to relax! We spent a few days here and I can wholeheartedly recommend this campsite. The grounds are well-maintained, clean and well-lit at night. The toilet and shower facilities are cleaned regularly, and there’s unlimited hot water. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A big plus for being close to nature, the peace and quiet after the night-time curfew, and the convenient location near the river. We’ll definitely be back!”
