2 bedroom safari tent

Liked The view of/from the safari tent was stunning. So peaceful and quiet with deer wandering through the field. The field was safe for our dog to wander around and not get out. The surrounding area was stunning and the local pub was great, about a 20 mins walk.
The safari tent was beautiful. So nicely furnished and it had lots of lovely touches like blankets, deck chairs, bbq area, log benches and dog bowls etc.
The beds were super comfy and the shower was powerful. It was like a fully equipped home but in nature.
The instruction video was super useful to help us find the place and all of the information for the safari tent, including the toilet instructions which we needed!
The incinerator toilet was interesting to get used to but it was fine after the first few times, it was nice to have a warm toilet seat!

From the manager: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review! Glad that you and your guests (and dog!) had a lovely stay. Yes, the toilet is quite funky but helps us to minimise our impact on the landscape as we don't need to install a septic tank and also reduces water use! We hope you'll consider staying again.

Local attractions

An imposing 18th-century pile, Basildon Park (10 minutes’ drive) is worth a visit for its Palladian architecture, its elegant interiors with period furniture and its art collection. The surrounding parkland, which bursts into colour during the warmer months, is a popular spot for dog walks. From farmyard animals to small exotic mammals like lemurs and mongoose, you’ll find plenty of beasties at Beale Wildlife Park (10 minutes). There is also a reptile house, where you can get up close and personal with tarantulas, snakes and lizards. And if the kids need to blow off some steam, there’s an adventure playground. Other ways to keep the kids (or the kid in you) entertained include paintballing at Weekend Warriors (10 minutes) and tumbling on the nets at RedKangaroo Trampoline Park Reading (15 minutes), where there are also giant slides and inflatable obstacle courses. Caversham Lakes (25 minutes) has a floating water park and paddleboarding.
