Liked Huge space
Family friendly
Lovely farm shop
Particularly helpful prebook
Disliked Cleanliness of toilets sometimes struggled to keep up but given it was fully booked summer holidays + bank holiday weekend with rain/mud no great surprise and was quickly rectified.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review, glad you had a good time

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Site was fantastic. Great shop with so much in it. The lady who greeted us was fab, came round to do a raffle and offered tie dying t-shirts for the kids on the Sunday which was so sweet and they loved it.
The playpark was a big hit and it felt really safe for the kids. The skate ramp was brilliant for the older kids and so much space to run around/play rounders and not feel you were in anyone's way.
Flexibility to choose where we set up so as 3 families we could be together was great. The showers and toilets were regularly cleaned which considering the weather was very impressive!
Overall even the downpour couldn't dampen our spirits. Just a really well run and welcoming place.
Disliked Firepit hire was pricier than we were expecting especially as could only use for the last night as was a national ban the first few nights. (Not the sites fault at all) That would be my only very slight negative but was still a fab experience with us all around the fire toasting marshmallows so worth it but just be mindful.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, Glad your kids enjoyed the tie dying with Mandy this is something our wardens do off their own back and the raffle to raise money for a charity close to their hearts and we love that they do this
Thank you for the review on the toilets and showers Mandy and Graham again do a fantastic job
Sorry in regards to the firepit, unfortunatly it is the same for the price for 1 night or upto a week as you get the same stuff whether it is for 1 night or more, all extra logs are additional, but we could not let it happen previous to this as it was just too dry glad you enjoy the marshmellows

Liked Great sized pitches.
Clean facilities.
Shop well stocked.
Disliked If you're looking for a peaceful break then this is not the place for you. Large group bookings seemed to be very popular with this site and there where ALOT of large bookings playing loud music past stated quiet hours.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your review on everything you enjoyed, im sorry you disliked the groups, we are sorry about this. We do allow groups they should not be playing music past stated hours and our wardens do walk around and into the night once the quiet time has passed, so this is rare. I hope you contacted our wardens Mandy and Graham as stated in our booking information as they are avaliable if any problems to call or text. Hopefully you would give us another chance

Good local campsite
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked This is a local campsite to us and a go to for a first camp of the season/last minute get away. A lovely flat field with space for all types of campers. The facilities are clean and plentiful. There is a park for children as well as a shop on site. The wardens are really welcoming and helpful.
Disliked They don't discourage groups so at times it can feel a bit large group heavy. Just to highlight if this is not what you are after.
