Liked Loved everything about the site, the owners were lovely, the cafe was lovely. The facilities were fabulous. We're already planning for next year.

Liked This was our second visit to Newfold Farm, as last time we went up Kinder Scout and this time wanted to do Mam Tor.
The site is perfectly placed to do both, the Pennine Way starts just outside the site on the left (don't make the mistake of asking a member of staff tho as they told me I should have bought a map and directed me to the shop on-site which cost me £5 to find out it was literally behind the site. This was on our visit last year and it did put us off for a while only changed my mind because we desperately wanted to go up Mam Tor) and the climb to Mam Tor is just outside the village.
The toilets and showers are in need of a bit of updating but never had to queue to go even though the site was busy, there was always toilet roll. The hot water was amazing to warm you up as it was a cold weekend we were there.
The site itself is well kept, it isn't flat or level tho but to be expected up in the Peak District.
The pizza ovens weren't open on the Saturday night, so we ended up in The Rambler which was lovely.
Make sure you take everything you need as the on-site shop is the only shop nearby and is mostly organic vegan items and is quite expensive. There is a Spar in Hope, which has everything you might have forgotten.
Disliked Was noisy on a night.
The ladies toilet seats all need replacing, everytime I went to the toilet I had to reposition the seat and always slide to the side within a second.
Although this is not the sites fault the weekend we were there someone had set an alarm for 4.45am and snoozed it 3 times which woke up most of the field we were on, pretty much everyone was up and about by 5.30am.
