Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Location - middle of nowhere. If you're after peace and quiet, this is it (we visited midweek in August). Unbelievable dark skies giving the opportunity for some star gazing by the fire pit.
Facilities - nice hot showers, dish wash area and very clean toilets. Only down side was not having bins but this is made very clear before booking. Every pitch had a fire pit and Harry will drop off wood/kindling once you get settled. Pitches are huge with good space between them.
Local area - we were travelling from the North and dropped into a retail park outside of Coventry to pick up food and drink supplies on the way down. There's a small village with a pub about a twenty minutes stroll off the site.

Grouse non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Location - Couldn't get any better. 10 minute stroll to the train station to get a train to the next village and walk back to the camp site over the peaks. Amazing views of the peaks from the back field. The site is on a working farm so animal and machinery noise to be expected.
Facilities - Plenty of showers, toilets and wash basins which were cleaned twice daily while we were there. Lots of parking spaces, electric points, and an on site cafe. Just outside the entrance to the site was a well stocked shop and a dog friendly pub which served real ales and great food. Two external pizza ovens with pizza nights on a Fri and Sat. Special mention for the camping trolleys to transport your gear from the car park to your tent pitch. Strong WiFi which reached the far end of the furthest field.
Disliked ......having to leave!
