From the moment we arrived, the team were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel at home straight away. The pitches are all generously sized and offer a good mix of sun and shade, which was much appreciated during our stay as temperatures climbed above 30°C. The swimming pool was a real highlight – clean, inviting and the perfect place to cool off in the heat. The campsite facilities were also spotless and very well maintained throughout our visit. One of the standout services was the daily bakery delivery. Fresh baguettes, croissants and pain au chocolat can be ordered and delivered directly to your pitch, still warm from the bakery. It’s a fabulous touch and a wonderful way to start the day. There is also a pleasant bar area next to the pool, with plenty of both sunny and shaded seating, making it an ideal spot to relax with a drink. One thing worth noting is that reception closes during the afternoon until 4pm, so early access to pitches isn’t possible. If you arrive before then, it’s worth spending some time exploring one of the nearby villages or making sure you’ve stocked up on food and water, as there is nothing within easy walking distance. That said, the beautiful village of Beynac-et-Cazenac is only a short drive or bike ride away and is well worth a visit. Overall, Camping le Tiradou is a fantastic campsite in a beautiful part of the Dordogne. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and, if we find ourselves back in the area, we would definitely stay here again.
