Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked This is a lovely quiet peaceful campsite with superb views. The owners and campsite manager ( Dave) are SO friendly and welcoming ( as were many of the other campers). The toilets showers washing and disposal facilities are all fine and everywhere is tidy and clean. The price it s also exceptionally reasonable for ehu and hard standing. Will v probably be back sometime.
Disliked Nothing.
The data reception is a bit hit and miss. Not the campsites responsibility but worth knowing for other prospective campers.

Liked What an absolutely fantastic site. Views spectacular, walks nearby just idyllic and including a fantastic falls in the river Ribble, facilities top notch( ignore other complaints about the showers -very petty), quiet ( despite clearly being very popular and well-used) , exceptionally well organised, staff really friendly and helpful, and the food at the restuarant remarkably good! (also amazing value for the quality) . Brilliant WiFi reception too.
Disliked Slope-y pitch. It took us a while to get our wee caravan level.
Being overshadowed by a gigantic American trailer home to the right of our pitch, no 75. ( A Rockwood RW Ultralight? ) It obscured the view and blocked the light a bit I'm afraid

Liked What a great, friendly site! We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. The setting is fab ( so handy for the A1 and would be the perfect stop-over e.g. travelling from Scotland to the South of UK) and the whole vibe easy-going and laid back. Ruth, Henry and family who run it are so helpful and personable, they couldn't have been nicer and it was a sheer joy to meet the lovely grandchildren. The pub on site is excellent and was very busy both nights we were there ( you may need to book if you want to eat) lush warm, homely atmosphere. Local artisans sell some of their wares within, such a lovely touch. Excellent value too! £44 for two nights plus ehu. Top-up card with added £10 for electricity was plenty for us, even though it was icy cold frost both nights we were there ( and ran small oil-filled heater all night for 2 berth van plus fridge). Would recommend and would definitely go back as Locomotion museum worth a second visit at the very least!
Disliked Toilets and showers a bit basic still, but perfectly functionable.

Liked The setting and surrounding countryside ( Ousby is a lovely little village), size of pitches, laid back feel...and availability of fabulous friendly pub with great food. Toilets and showers are over the road behind pub, but they are top notch 👌🏻.

Liked What a fantastic site. It's so unbelievably pretty and well kept. It's like living in a secret camping village in the forest. Our pitch was spacious, check in was very straightforward, everywhere was beautifully looked after. And as many others have mentioned the toilets, showers and other facilities were fab. Lovely to walk around and chat to other campers, especially the seasonal pitchers. Will be back for sure.
Disliked Nothing really. No WiFi at pitch but good to switch it off!

Liked A wonderful, peaceful site with huge pitches hard standing pitches and some lovely landscaping including a very pretty lake with an island in the centre ( from which we saw a huge heron gracefully take flight on our first evening). We were greeted by friendly staff to show us our pitch and brief us about the facilities. The toilet and shower block are fantastic! Spotlessly clean and toasty warm. Loved the eco friendly vibe, the nature trail and the sound of the curlew.
Disliked Not a dislike as such, but useful for campers to know the toilets are closed between 10:30 and 12 daily for cleaning. Also the bar has limited opening hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
You need transport for this site as shops and pubs are not really within walking distance.

Liked A friendly welcome by the owners, lovely spacious pitches, well serviced, amazing views and a quiet laid back atmosphere. Loved the fluffy punky chickens ☺️.
Disliked Toilets a wee bit rough around the edges. 😉 No working lock on door or one of the womens' and no seat on one of the mens'.
